Being on a limited budget does not always allow for us to go and have our hair done. Especially my husband and boys. A trip to the barbershop is like an adventure or a night out for us because of our limited funds. My husband does his own hair with this machine and does the boys as well! It's kind of like they're bonding I don't know. But it's definitely worth the price it gets the job done it's held up under many many uses and many many drops I may add! 14 year olds what can I say? But I'm very happy and it's a Con Air I mean The Price is Right many times over and it's a brand we trust. Can't ever complain about a product that works well and is affordable at least I don't! Very happy with this purchase and it's still going strong!

These are not anywhere close to professional clippers, but I can’t find mine, they’re somewhere in the attic. I needed to do a quick haircut, and these work for the job. They are not the best quality. These are not an investment. There are very few clips. You’re not going to be able to do the same things with them as a professional brand. They come with clips that aren’t really useful bc they are not able to hold a large quantity of hair, and very low quality scissors intended for hair but they are sheers. They are not sharp and they are not made the same as “scissors” for hair. This is generally just a diy at home haircut kit when you’re in a pinch. You could do a fade, if you really know what you’re doing & you’re able to go in with a fine tooth comb to finish it. But if you’ve never done that, there’s slim to none you’ll get the haircut you’re going for. You can use the guards and do a graduated haircut, but the most important part of cleaning up the hairline & actually getting it smooth & not choppy is still going to be based on your skill level. So if you’re thinking all you need is these to do a professional looking cut at home, you better know what you’re doing. I’ve worked with less, so it is possible to do a pretty good job, or if you just want a sideshave or something simple, these are super cost efficient, and the best part of the entire product is that the entire product fits in a plastic case that snaps closed & it’s small & compact and doesn’t take up too much space.

I bought this Conair Clipper because I have had good results with Conair products in the past. And my old 15 year old Remington gave up the ghost. I'm using this for beard trimming only, but it does come with numerous hair cutting comb attachments. Pros: Compact and light weight. Very sharp blade which cuts efficiently in one pass (self sharpening). Three position onboard trim adjustment (great for beard work). Price. Cons: Cutting blade is a bit out of parallel to guard but doesn't seem to be a problem. Soft storage case is way too large for product and attachments (could be more compact, half the size). Lubricating oil leaked all over inside packaging. At this price point it's OK. But is short of 5 stars (some QC issues).

Unfortunately I didn't use the clippers until well past the return window so I am out a few bucks. You'd think being a known brand in the hair industry there wouldn't be any issues. Well the old saying you get what you pay for comes in to effect here. I paid $20 for the box and a few attachments, the part that you need to work, the clippers were absolutely horrible. Once I finally opened the package and tried to use them the clippers were making noise but couldn't even cut arm hair with no attachment as a test. So I noticed a sticker on the side by the screw that should be preset that said if they clippers are not working get the instructions and adjust the screw. There must be an issue if they had to put that sticker there, never seen it before. So i did and followed instructions. They started working but only somewhat. What should have been a 10 minute haircut took me 45 because the clippers worked so poorly. I pulled the out 1 more time hoping for luck that i could do a basic men's touchup around the ears and sideburns. I couldn't even get the things to do that basic. I attempted to adjust the screw again with no luck. I'm so angry to the point where I will look up what conglomerate owns Conair brand and try my best to never spend another dollar on not only Conair but their other brands. A customer should never have to put up with these issues with a brand new product. I certainly cannot recommend this product. You will be very tempted because they are a fraction of the cost of a normal decent set, but the frustration is not worth the savings. Again, I'm out $20 unless they respond to make things right. They are a bigger company who doesn't really do things like that but I will update if they do.

I paid $70.06 for this clipper with the tax in 2020, and found the exact same clipper at the local Rite Aid pharmacy for $24.99 a few days later. I felt that I had been robbed. When I received the clipper I could sense that it should not have cost what I paid for it. It would have easily been worth $24.99 plus tax, but not $70.06. It worked fine to cut my hair, was quiet, came with lots of accessories, and did not get hot in my hand. It just didn't have the quality feel and build of a $70 clipper. This clipper is now selling on Amazon for $14.49. I subsequently bought a Wahl clipper and a set of guides which has a quality feel to it, and spent about $170. I use the guides from the Conair for clipping around my ears, since the ear guides fit on the Wahl clipper, and the Wahl clipper guides didn't include the ear guides which are very good for cutting around the ears. The Conair clipper came with everything I needed to give myself a good haircut, I just paid too much for it. I gave myself a good haircut with it, and now keep it as a backup clipper. It is a lot quieter than the Wahl, but I like the Wahl guides better because they are slightly longer and built with more quality. This is a great clipper if you don't want to spend a lot of money, and want to get everything you need to give yourself a good haircut in one package. At $14.49 this clipper provides very good value for the money, and will more than pay for itself in one haircut.
