  • Great feel, durability, and value
Team Name: Wide Calf Size: Medium Color: Black - 3 Pack
I have really large calves and these were the only compression socks I could find that came anywhere near my leg circumference for less than $30/pair. They have a wonderful feel and are wearing well—no fuzzing, pilling, or loss of shape/compression after wearing each pair every week for a few months. My only complaint is that they really squeeze the blood out of my little toes. I have wide feet but not THAT wide—I wear wide sizes in some brands, but regular width in others. ... show more

  • Much better than previous versions!
Team Name: Wide Calf Size: Medium Color: Heather Grey
Better than earlier versions! I’ve been buying these for a few years now. Earlier versions had a different fabric blend. Old ones felt like they had less spandex and the elasticity would wear out fast, causing the earlier ones to sag after only about 15 uses or so. The fabric also felt heavier, contributing to the early sagging. I’m happy to report these are much better. More elasticity and they stay up both better and after more repeated wearing and washings. The fabric has less of a sheen and the fabric isn’t as heavy, although just as thick (if that makes sense). They are even a bit more comfortable to wear. I always liked the mid-gray color. Seems to go with nearly everything I wear without looking like old school dress socks. Comrad is the only compression sock company with a wide leg version, doesn’t look like a dress sock, comes in non-dress-sock solid colors, and consistently stocks in my size. There are others with cooler designs and wild colors, but the colors are never consistent from season to season and my size is rarely stocked, if they even have a wide leg version. I can wear these with casual boots, sneakers, etc. and it’s the type of sock that just never looks out of place no matter the shoe, boot, or outfit. The key to making these last is following the washing directions religiously. Wash gentile in cold water with a mild detergent and always air dry. I’ve taken to air drying a lot more these days, so it doesn’t bother me. Never seen any compression socks that recommend tumble dry, so if you already know compression socks, these are no different. ... show more

  • Almost Perfect!
Team Name: Regular Size: Small Color: Berry Ombre
I bought the pink socks, and I love them! They are almost perfect! I bought these compression socks because 2 of my doctors suggested wearing them to reduce swelling in my legs and to help with blisters on the back of my legs from edema. I have blisters again, but I haven't been wearing the socks daily because I only have one pair and these were expensive to get. I find the fit to be fantastic -- the compression is great, it doesn't squeeze my toes, the heel is perfect, and I'm able to wear them all day. I tried sleeping in them, and quickly found out that I should NOT have done that (my physical therapist, who was the 3rd person suggesting the socks, told me it's never a good idea to sleep in compression socks). Anyway, I'm not sure if I had trouble sleeping in them because of them being compression socks or if it's because I had to roll down the top and it was squeezing the top part of my calf... That's my only complaint about these socks -- for a small size pair, they are really long on short people. I'm 4'11" and find this to be an issue. But I'd still buy the socks anyway as I don't feel any discomfort while wearing them during the day. Besides, most compression socks are ugly and I found the pink ones to be extra cute! ... show more

  • Helpful Compression
Team Name: Wide Calf Size: Medium Color: Heather Charcoal
My legs swell when I sit for a while, on long rides, on airplanes, after walks, and even worse when it’s warm. I’ve tried compression stockings before, but the fit was so bad I just found them very uncomfortable and ineffective. I have a small foot (shoe size), short legs, but wide calf. After seeing a lot of recent advertisements for “new” compression socks, and hoping for some relief, I decided to give these Komrad brand socks a try. I was very pleased to find sizing in regular and wide calf. I ordered a medium wide calf. I’m pleased to report the foot is a great fit, and the calf felt good - noticeable compression but not uncomfortable. Unfortunately the length is too long for me, so I turned the cuff down. Today was the Komrad socks’ maiden voyage. I wore them all day, including a 3 hour car ride and 10K steps sightseeing, all in summer heat. They were comfortable to wear all day, even with the tops turned down. My feet/legs were a little warm, but to be fair, that would likely be the case with regular socks in this heat. This evening I peeled them off, and was happy to see way less swelling than usual. I’ll take that. Looking forward to more comfortable activities in my Komrad socks. ... show more

  • The Winner!
Team Name: Regular Size: Large Color: Black - 3 Pack
I have long been beset by varicose veins and was advised by my doctor years ago to wear compression knee-high socks. I stand and walk often at work, as well, so I finally got in gear and tried several, including: Jobst, Dr. Segal's, Vim & Vigr, Go2Socks, Sockwell and Charmking. (Note that one of more of these come in various fabrics, so there may have been a fabric other than the one I tried that might have been better.) The clear winner was Comrad. The fit is best, the appearance of the fabric is best, and the feel of the fabric on my feet and legs is best. I was planning to just put them in the washing machine and even in the dryer, both of which you're not really supposed to do, but I am so fond of these that I have decided to treat them with utmost respect and just hand wash them and hang to dry. (Another note: Maybe it's okay to put these in the washer. I know that is not true of most compression socks, but it might be true of these.) (Oh, tiny downside: There is a special soft fabric right at the heel. It feels very nice, but I noticed that it easily became slightly snagged and lost its perfect appearance after just a wearing or two. However, this is not a problem for me because the shoes I wear these with have closed heels.) ... show more

  • They fit small
Team Name: Regular Size: Medium Color: Rose/Navy Stripe
I know they are compression socks but they should not cut off your circulation. Tossed them and reordered a different brand, they are great.
