First time buyer and have no regrets! These kits are awesome. I wanted something other than steel piping or PVC in my new garage. I chose this setup and it's more complete than you might expect. Not only did it come with the tubing but precision fittings, precision milled aluminum junction blocks, pressure gauges, as well tools. The pipe cutter, adjustable joint pliers, Teflon tape ( way more than you'll ever use in a lifetime) and Allen keys for the plugs. The ONLY additional tool I used was another crescent wrench to hold the adapters tight when installing the compression collars. Yeh, it's a bit of a pain to unroll the tubing and straighten it out to use but there really isn't any other feasible way to deliver 200'. My only speculation was how tight do I have to tighten the collars on the joints? There's no formal instruction on exactly how tight is tight? I tightens the collars until I heard them "squeak". Surprisingly, the first test run under pressure revealed the collars didn't leak at all but I needed to redo a couple of the adapter to junction block fittings with additional pipe tape. Otherwise a really solid, clean and presentable air system! I would recommend it for sure. ... show more

Good kit that is just what I was looking for very well made with excellent fittings. In case you need to do so, the piping can be buried. I put mine down 18” running it from my compressor in my workshop to both my tool shed and garden shed. Pressure test passed after I retightened two connectors. (A soap solution is a handy leak detector.) I wouldn’t used connectors underground. Buy more pipe and run with no connectors. I’d buy this again if needed. I've done a detailed series of posts on a forum for woodworkers and cabinetmakers called Sawmillcreek. This review is excerpted from that MUCH longer (and equally positive review) In summary, this is a high quality system with components equal to, or better than the much more expensive "Rapidair" systems. So, I did a ton of research on the available brands both local and on Amazon and then ordered a few (knowing I could send back whichever did not take my fancy) I finally settled on a 3/4" Diameter system from a company called FideURSUS. The stuff arrived and it was fantastic! I really don't quite understand how they provide what they do for the price. The quality was top notch and it just...worked BY way of reference I also bought some additional parts from Maxline (Rapidair) and the stuff is identical. I apologize if I sound like a salesman, I am not and i have no affliliation with this company, I just want to share what I learned in the hope it will save others some time. will keep replying to this thread with the pros and cons and what I did to overcome them. I will also share why i bought this one. I bought the 200ft system as I knew I needed a number of drops and needed more than 100ft (only slightly over, but it's not worth buying seperately). On that note, if you read this and debate whether to go big....go big! The parts seperately are WAY more than just buying a bigger set to start, even if you don't use it all. As you can see, each drop has a pressure gauge and also two outlets that are ANGLED down. The angled bit really helps and many of the other system provide 45degree brass elbows to accomplish the same thing, but this is machined in. Secondly, i wanted 2 outlets so that I could keep an air gun / blower permanently attached to each drop and have the other available for whatever tool I am using there at the time. The quality was GREAt and the tools were very good with the exception of the Allen keys (Hex key) which were 9.5mm and I found that 10mm was ideal (I have a ton lying around so was not an issue) They also provided twice as much teflon tape as shown in the picture above (10 rolls!) and I think i used less than half of it. The tape itself was good quality and thick. It's a pale blue tape - same as. 'monster' brand (which is good). I used 6 wraps on each union and a coating of pipe dope for lubrication / insurance. The pipe install is really a two person job as the pipe is somewhat rigid (it has an aluminum layer encased in plastic on outer and inner surfaces). You can buy tools online with rollers and the like to help straighten the pipe but reviews seemed poor. I then ready about a guy ising a 2x4 with a hole in it to pull the pipe through and so we used that idea and added to it. I found that reaming out one end of the hole made insertion easier and we positioned another block of wood a little further away to help straighten it further (it also allowed us to make sure it was indeed straight) I'd finished doing the install by the time we took pictures so I just stuffed some offcuts into the blocks of scrap wood so you get the idea. We hung the reel off a vacuum cleaner wand slung off the lathe :) One person would push the pipe into the block while the other pulled through. It worked well and I see no reason to buy the wheeled straightener ... show more

Overall I am very happy with this piping system. It has a very good array of parts and you won't be wanting for connection clips or screws as the entire kit is very well appointed. Up first are the pros. - overall I'm very happy with the quality of the parts. There's no burrs from casting everything's been cleaned and threads are really quite precise, so that uses the installation process quite a bit - having a full compliment of installation tools is very nice. Even though the cutter looks like it's not going to last, it does and it cuts very cleanly so don't worry about that. - the length of pipe is also very appropriate for the number of ports, but if you have any concerns about your setup definitely buy longer length kits versus exactly what you need. I can definitely see how people might be surprised with how much pipe they need for you in a small space I only have a couple negatives - the beveling and deburring tool really could use some kind of handle attachment. It's triangular shape is definitely helpful, but it doesn't fit in the hand very well and some kind of small handle would make it much easier especially for people with slightly smaller hands - I also think the retention collar that goes underneath the nut could use some improvement. Some of the the ribs on mine didn't appear to be cut to full depth and have caused a couple fittings to pop their connection under pressure. In these instances I just need to clean the connection reattach and tighten extra hard with two wrenches but I can see how down the road I may need to replace the some of these collars if we become an issue again. Regardless overall I am quite happy with the kit. This is infinitely less expensive than running black pipe in a shop for your compressed air needs, and a massive upgrade to using PEX like some folks choose to.
