I've been using compostable trash bags for several years and have tried many different brands. Finally found this brand and it's by far the best I've used. It's large enough to fit my SimpleHuman 13 gal semi-round trash can without having to stretch it to fit. It's the thickest and hasn't leaked yet (I do put some newspaper in the bottom of the bag to help absorb any liquids). The drawstring handles work great and make taking the trashbag out easier. All that said, it's a compostable product and you do need to be more "gentle" with it than you do with plastic. Love this product and hope it remains available forever!

I’m big into composting/recycling, these bags have a nice thickness and can hold a lot of compostable food waste. Too many food items that have high water content can cause some leakage. Just don’t over fill with those type of items.

Overall love these bags but I use to properly dispose of dog doo from yard. Bag integrity after several day collection ‘eats’ through the bag causing all poop to fall thru bottom when ready to toss in trash. Guess bag is doing exactly what it was constructed to do….breakdown quickly ? May continue to use but not for these purposes.

I love the size, it's slightly larger than most kitchen trash bags, and is easier on my arthritis to put on can. The first 6 bags were fine, even though hard to see where to tear them apart. But then all of the last 6 have the draw string stuck to orange part and when I try to separate it the entire thing breaks. So we have to only fill it 2/3 full so we can tie the corners to close it. So we are using the Glad bags I still had for most things. Very disappointed as this began as a great bag.

My wife normally gives a 6 on a scale of 10 when she thinks a product is perfect. A professional "BLAH" scorer. I asked her what she thought of this brand - after a month of weekly usage. "I LIKE THEM!" Almost left my chair to go see if aliens had replaced her. She gave this brand enthused ratings for leakproof, sturdiness, and durability. I don't remember if these others are cheaper or not but it seems irrelevant in this case. Seems like we've been using kitchen composting bags 8-10 years. Buying on Amazon they generally come in sizes good for a year or two of weekly collections so I can remember maybe only 3-4 previous brands. Some don't last a week before they start pre-decomposing. This one feels thicker and resistant to poke-thru's, as well.
