We buy beans and grains in bulk. I wanted a scooper to make it easier to transfer the food from the 20lb bags they come in and put it in smaller containers we use for daily use. I like that this RESTISLAND Stainless Steel Ice Maker 10 Oz, Ice Scooper is 304 stainless steel. It is more sanitary for food use. Before ordering, I was worried the scoop would be too large, but it's a perfect size for our use. I weighed the scoop at 6.5 ounces. As you can see in my picture, my 1 cup measuring cup fits perfectly inside the scoop, showing how much it holds. My measurements are: Total length with hook: 10.5 in Handle: 3.5 in Scoop: 6 3/8 in Depth: 1.75" The scoop has a flat bottom, so sits on the counter without wobbling. The loop hook on the end and the handle are soldered or welded on and I wonder if they'd break off if used heavily. I will not be using it for anything heavy, or that will give resistance when I scoop into it so I don't expect it to be a problem. ... show more

I ordered this stainless steel ice scoop after the plastic one that came with my ice maker broke. This ice scoop is well made and sturdy. The food grade stainless steel has a smooth surface and is easy to clean. The scoop handle is welded carefully and connected firmly. I use it very well to get ice from the ice maker. We purchased this for our business. It died after 6 weeks. I called Amazon and was told I would receive a call ticket and a refund. I waited 1 week.....I didn't receive anything, so I called again....I was told the same thing. I waited a week and didn't receive anything. I called a 3rd time and was told to call the company (3rd party seller) directly for warranty service. I asked for the contact information...apparently Amazon does not have their contact information. Don't waste your $$$ on this. They won't honor their warranty or take care of their customers!!! ... show more
