They communicated they would review pictures and offer some type of credit. We stated we had no plans to return the ice maker over the small dent that obviously occured during shipping. Commercial Ice Maker Machine 130lbs/24h, 36lbs Storage, Dual Water Inlet Mode, Built-in/Freestanding/Under Counter Ice Maker with LED Display & Self-Cleaning ETL Certified for Home Bar Restaurant 15.75" x 14.57" x 30.91" Makes largest cubes every 20 minutes Set up was a little challenging because the instructions were for the model that does not have the water bottle on top. Had to go online for information and ended up figuring it all out. This is the best order to set up: 1. Remove from box and allow 24 hours upright. 2. Remove all the tape inside and outside of the unit. 3. Plug in the drain hose, use the metal clip provided. (It is on the bottom left when you are looking at the back) 4. Put in the water bottle (3- or 4-gallon ones are better than 5, but 5 will work) 5. Inside, there is a blue clip/valve on the water line coming down, turn that) 6. Plug in the unit and turn it on. The ice inside stays cold but not frozen. You have to occasionally empty it out or you will have wet ice when you transfer it into a freezer that sticks together. You can adjust ice cube size from 1 to 8, we do 8 for the largest, thickest cubes. This ice machine is a little big. We bought one of those $100 ones that sit on the counter and run all day and hardly produces ice to make it worth it. This one will run all day if you want and make one batch of good ice after another. You hear the ice drop but it is not overly loud while running. There is one issue that we are not sure how to address. The drain outlet is on the very bottom. We have the hose going into an empty gallon water jug. It needs gravity to come out. It's designed to either be elevated or to empty into a water grate on the floor like they have in professional kitchens. The second thing to note is the 5-gallon water bottle extends a little over the side. One good bump will topple it. We are looking into smaller or taller shaped water jugs. But for now, it works; we just have to be careful not to bump it. We figure we spend about $6 a week on ice; this pays for itself in one year. For us, it is good for the money.

This is a really powerful commercial ice maker! First off, I want to note that this thing is pretty heavy and quite bottom heavy, so definitely take care when moving it around, it is not exactly the easiest thing to maneuver. It does produce a huge amount of ice though, and the cubes themselves come out really large on the largest setting. I will say getting the settings dialed in took a bit of trial and error at first. Some of the settings led to huge trays of cubes that were all stuck together, which was a bit frustrating, but once I found the right setting for my needs, it has been working perfectly every single time since. The water bottle that sits on top is a nice convenience feature, but I will note it is not actually secured in place, so just be really careful around it since it would be incredibly easy to accidentally knock over. Price-wise, at $329.99 for a commercial grade ice maker producing up to 130 lbs a day, I think it is a pretty solid price for the capacity and features you are getting. Overall, it is a really powerful and capable ice maker, just be mindful of the weight when moving it, take some time to dial in your ideal settings, and watch out for that unsecured water bottle on top!

Put a bottle of water on the top and everything hooked up. Within 10 hours the water was completely gone and water ran everywhere! The drain hose hooked into the machine itself leaked water the entire time and ran out through the bottom of the machine. Very cheap set-up of drainage hose! (The use of small zip ties to hold the pipe does not secure the hose!) The reserve inside the machine also ran water straight out of it. Made a huge mess of water all over my hardwood floors. I even put it on a black waterproof mat and the water overfilled it and ran out. Unplugged and emptied the machine. Took the back off and could see the water pouring out of the section of drain hose inside the machine. Not impressed with the mechanics of the ice machine. It made ice nicely.

Installation is flexible depending on how permanent you want the setup to be. You can keep it simple by using a water jug on top and running the drain wherever is convenient, or go the more permanent route like we did by connecting it under the sink with a water line and dedicated drain hose. Neither option is particularly complicated, though the permanent setup does take a little more time and planning. Getting the ice thickness dialed in exactly how you want it takes some trial and error over the first few uses, but the adjustments are straightforward once you understand the settings. After a few weeks of regular use it's been running quietly and consistently, which is exactly what you want from something that's just supposed to work in the background. We have a family of six, so our ice needs are heavy and this pumps out quality ice and a really great speed. They are small enough to fit in reusable bottles. One thing worth mentioning is that ours arrived with a couple of small dents that didn't affect performance at all and honestly you wouldn't notice unless someone pointed them out, but it's worth inspecting on arrival just to document anything before setup. For anyone who entertains regularly or just wants a serious ice supply at home, this is a solid machine that delivers on its promises once you get it configured the way you want it.

I ordered the Garvee Commercial Ice Maker Machine 130lbs/24h with 36 pounds of storage. This ice maker looks professional with its silver stainless steel appearance. The build quality is good, and it produces a lot of ice. The drawback is that it does not have NSF certification, so it cannot be used in most food establishments in the US (minus a star). It is ETL certified. It is still great to use for an office or in an outside covered BBQ area. It is competitively priced for a unit that can make up to 130 pounds of ice.
