In short, this is a great ice maker at a great price. If you have a small bar or a family that runs through a bunch of ice, this ice maker is for you. In this review I'll summarize its features: Style - It's very commercial looking, it doesn't clash with kitchen appliances but definitely has a utilitarian look. There's a stainless steel face and top plate that makes it easy to clean. At 31.25 inches tall, it's not US counter height, but it would fit in a base cabinet with some custom work. It's about 15 inches deep, needs several inches of venting all around to operate properly Ice - the ice is commercial cube style with a divot in the middle, it's not crushed or chip style ice. The thickness of the ice can be adjusted to get a thinner more hollow ice cube or a thicker denser ice cube. Ice is approximately 1" cubed. This machine produces 45 cubes per cycle, a cycle takes about 15-20 minutes. The claim of 100lbs per day seems reasonable. Depending on ice density setting you could easily run through 2 5gal jugs of water per day which is about 90lbs of water. The tub only holds a 3rd of that so you would have to empty often. Cleaning - Mold is an issue with ice machines. This one is easy to clean, all components are accessible through the front door to wipe down/clean/spray/etc. Machine has an automated cleaning cycle that will pump extra water or cleaning solution through the system. Features - The best feature in my opinion is the ability to run this from bottled water. I run this from a location where I do not have a permanent water line, and it easily takes 5 gallon or even 1 gallon bottled water. You can hook it up to a fridge water line too. Works great for sporting events, camping, marina etc. Timer function to run the ice maker for a certain amount of time then shut off The LCD control panel handles all the functions and will let you know of any issues. It tells you whether the machine is de-icing, making ice, cleaning, etc as well as the remaining cycle time. Very handy. Comes with all accessories to get started, all hoses, cords and even an ice scoop are included Minor nitpicks: The instructions do not do a great job of explaining how to hook up bottled water. Essentially, you need to put the bottle on top of the machine, suck on the hose to create a siphon and then plug the hose back into the machine. The siphon will keep the water running, it does not appear to have a self priming pump. You need a drain - Melted ice and excess water from the ice making process just drain directly into the collection tub, it does not get remade into ice. You can plug the drain or drain into a container but this is something to consider. The manual says this is not for outdoor use but I don't see any reason why you couldn't use it outside as long as it stays covered .

This is definitely a nice ice maker. I got this one because my other one that I use for my cottage bakery was producing ice but it didnt hold much ice in its bin. This definitely holds some ice! It was a little slow to start but when it kicked in, it made quite a bit of ice. It doesn't require a permanent water line. I use mine with a 5 gallon water bottle and it drains into a bucket that I put under the machine.

This is easily assembled and quickly ready to use. It's convenient and can be hooked up to a sink/water line or used by a jug. It does use approximately 1 gallon every 1-1.5 hrs on the -4 setting. I used a 1 gallon jug to test it out and it runs out before 2 hours. The drainage is minor & on average was only a little over 2 ounces ever two hours. The drainage depends upon the room temp and amount of melting ice also. You really could hook this up to two 5 gallon jugs & it would work. Very convenient and comes with a nice metal scoop. The scoop handle is a bit small but it's a good overall size & has a hook inside for it. I also use a large plastic cup as a scoop as well when emptying it faster. Comes with protective film and was well protected for being sent to me.

This ice maker is absolutely fantastic. It makes ice very quick so there is zero chance we will run out of ice during a party or during the hot summer. The ice maker on my fridge is so darn slow that when we have family over we run out of ice so quick. Well that is not going to be a problem anymore. Absolutely recommend this item.
