We host a lot of outdoor parties during the summer and always have a big cooler of drinks. Buying ice can get so expensive though! We've been filling these bags with ice from our fridge ice maker and storing them in our extra freezer. We don't tie the string in a knot so we can dump the ice in the big cooler and reuse the bags. These bags are very strong, I think they're stronger than the bags of ice from the store. We've reused each bag multiple times so far with no issues. Highly recommended!

I purchased these ice bags to use in our coolers for beach trips and traveling because I absolutely hate having food floating around in melted ice water. These have worked really well for keeping ice contained and organized inside the cooler. The bags are durable and hold a good amount of ice without leaking or tearing, even after sitting in the freezer for extended periods. I wish I found these sooner. We spend so much money buying ice every week and I bought some silicone forms and make my own throughout the week and fill these bags. This is a GAME CHANGER and MONEY SAVER. The best part is the quality is so good we can use them over and over!

These ice bags aren't as thick as Ziploc freezer bags, and the string tie doesn't seem as secure as a zipped bag. But these bags do hold a lot of ice and would work for bagging up extra ice for a party, etc. If a person wanted to transport one of these bags in an ice chest for a picnic or tailgate party, I would worry that the bag would leak all over the food in the chest, once the ice began to melt. Not too sure these were worth a dollar a bag, but you can decide that. Would I order them again? No.
