Until now, I have had almost no success finding a way to get the benefits to my neck and shoulders because of the curves. I have several devices from Comfytemp and I trust their products. This neck and shoulder wrap, though, is simply the best thing I've tried so far. While it can take months for most people to notice any changes, I am receptive enough to feel better each time I use it. This may simply be because I've been using RLT consistently for many months already. This just allows me to target a new area I desperately needed. You have to do some research to determine if red light therapy is right for you. I was very skeptical and leery of many of the claims made on some products (and I still am on some of them, if I'm being honest). But it can definitely have a place for some people. Even my dog gets daily treatments on her hips with her own device and it's made a noticeable difference in her back legs shaking due to a back problem. I would definitely recommend this product as long as you are aware that results will probably not be immediate and that you must be consistent with using it. ... show more

I like everything about this devise except for the stiff plastic on the inside. Because it is so stiff when you start to sweat it sticks to your skin. I know there has to be a clear covering in place but one that is not so stiff would be nice. Aside from that this thing has helped my shoulders a lot. I tend to carry stress in my shoulders and most of the time I don't even notice that my neck and shoulders hurt. This seems to push the heat in a little deeper which helps me a lot. My Better Half and I have problems with our necks and shoulders and have tried just about everything for them from medications to stinky messy creams and rubs that offer little relief. I had heard and read about RLT but didn’t know if it was a Snake Oil Salesman’s product or something with actual Science behind it. After much research on reputable websites I was intrigued by all of the information and benefits of RLT. The red lights work on the body’s mitochondria cells or “power plant cells” within the body. The process is called photobiomodulation which is a big word that basically means it’s a low level laser that deliver the red light or almost infrared lights to targeted areas of the body that grow back cells and trigger blood flow by restoring the cells abilities to function after restoration. It really is an amazing process and is used to relieve pain and it’s actually FDA approved for acne, scars and wrinkles as well as for targeted areas of the body to heal and provide pain relief. The Science behind this RLT is really amazing to read and learn about I find it a bit more than fascinating and my husband and I are eager to give this RLT cape a GO to try and relieve our neck and shoulder pain. Although RLT is touted to start working immediately, in reality it takes 2-3 months of continuous use to begin to see or feel the results. So we are excited to try out this RLT and really hope this will provide pain relief in our neck and shoulders. I have to include a caveat I learned in my research of RLT the results are long lasting but unfortunately they are not a permanent fix. But that’s okay with us any relief from chronic neck and shoulder pain will be great to us! This RLT Pad device or “cape” as I call it has (116) 3 core lamps with each having 3 chips with different rates 630nm 660nm and 850 nm red light and near-infrared lights. The former work on the top layer of skin while the latter (infrared) works deeper into the muscles and tissues to repair cells and relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Inflammation is responsible for so much pain in the human body so I think any therapy that can reduce it is well worth the price of this Comfytemp RLT Device! I cannot rave about the benefits of red light enough! That said, this is a high quality piece that has different settings to accommodate anyone. There's a layer of plastic to keep any sweat or moisture from absorbing and makes cleaning super simple. It helps with healing and pain, truly! Sometimes my neck kills me sitting at my desk looking up at the computer for long periods of time and this helps with the pain so much, and quickly too. If I could sleep on a mat of redlight I would! But in the meantime I'll keep using this to get me through. ... show more

    • Red light therapy shoulder pad
This works well and it's easy to put around your shoulders. The pad has provided some relief to my sore muscles and pain in my shoulder. I'm going to continue using this and hope to see some really great results.

This red light has worked great for my neck pain. It fits well and the red-light is very close to my skin. I can't say I've seen a night and day improvement but it makes it better and is quite relaxing.
