The other goft box will contain 10 Morccon Quartz Geodes around 2" in sizes along with a free piece of raw amethyst semi precious gemstone with id card. Makes a great gift. Hammer is not included. Any hammer will work. Mexican Trancas geodes contain clear or drusy quartz linings and may have calcite, fluorite, and quartz scepters as well. Crystal Canyon geodes tend to have a light red or orange color to them. They are harder to open than the quartz geodes. A lot of people like to cut them open with a wet saw. They look good polished or sprayed with a clear coat paint after cutting. Moroccan quartz geodes produce a great looking geode when cracked open. Opening them is easy. They are more hollow than other geodes and therefor break open easier. They also tend to produce more crystals. Over 95% of our Moroccan geodes have awesome crystals waiting to be discovered. Just grab a sock and a hammer and crack open a geode. Easy as that! Some customers get fancy and use a tile saw. My kids love these! They make for a fun hands on project that can involve the whole family. Includes 1 Free semi-precious gemstone with educational card. Type will vary on stock level. Warning: Chocking Hazard. Small parts...not for children under 3 yrs. Ages 8+ Always wear eye protective goggles along with adult supervision.

  • These are awesome
Bought for my 14 year old grandson's birthday. 2 - 3 to 4" and several 2 to 3". Ordered on a Monday and had them by Thursday. Came well packed and in great shape and so much fun. Just happy to have something a kid can really do instead of play on a phone. These were perfect - great gift idea.

  • Crystals in every rock
Beautiful crystals in each rock. We got two really big heavy ones and 10 golf ball sized. They were all dusty; looked like a rock off the ground…. They all had crystals. My favorite were the smaller ones; they were easy for my little kids to break open and so exciting for all of us. My husband had to really hit the big ones to get them open, and there was less airspace inside, but they still had some pretty crystals. It gave us a really enjoyable activity, and lots of beautiful rocks to admire. We are talking about reordering after we buy a rock cutter. ... show more

  • Sizes
So some of these are pretty decent sizes like what was described and some are extremely small. I don’t really mind but these were for my client and his family so they could do it together. I would have preferred them all to be around the same size but what can you do? Not all geodes get to be very very big. ... show more

  • Great gift idea!
When I initially purchased these, I was disappointed because of the size of the geodes. I thought they'd be larger like pictured. I contacted the seller and they offered a $10 refund. I was not expecting it. They have great customer service. We opened one small one to test it since it is a gift and we were not disappointed at all. The one we opened was so beautiful. There are 12 geodes of varying sizes. This also came with a half polished geode and a Madagascar amethyst. This is such a great gift idea. ... show more

  • Beautiful, easy-to-break geodes
The trancas were big and did not disappoint, but the geodes were the real star of the show. Easy for 8 and 9 year old girls to break with just a sock, hammer, and safety glasses. Some of them broke with one whack of the hammer. Beautiful sparkle.

  • They were all the same
No variety and disappointing getting the same thing over and over

  • 5 stars
We didn't get any agates, they all had crystals. I bought several from different places for my grandson to give out to his gifted science class during his presentation on volcanic rocks. A generous grandfather used a wet saw to cut them and we wrapped them in saran wrap so they could open them up like we cracked them open. Some were actually exceptional and the kids were over the roof that they got to keep their "Dragon eggs". ... show more

  • Rocks
I bought these rocks and waited on the porch for the delivery. And when usps got here and handed to the box to me I went “whoa what in the heck is in here? A buncha rocks?!” And they just said have a nice day and I cried alone because it actually was a box of rocks. I broke these fancy rocks open individually to observe their neat insides and laid on the floor listening to torn by Natalie Imbruglia for about 3 hours on repeat. Then my wife got home and saw me surrounded by rocks and rock chunks and handed me divorce paperwork because I was supposed to stop buying rocks. ... show more
