I've gone through a number of headlamps, mostly expensive ones that never lived up to their price. These Energizer headlamps are well made and are reliable. I've now been using these for years and have found them to be better than the competing outdoor brands by leaps and bounds. So much easier to change the batteries, the button configuration is insanely simple, and the ability to adjust brightness and also change to red at this price point is just awesome. I now own multiple of these Energizer units and would recommend to anyone who is tired of being ripped off by other brands. They will soon be the only headlamps in my truck, garage, and backpacks. After using a good half dozen or so different headlamps, the first thing that struck me was how much the strap itself was so much nicer than any of the others I've tried! Nice and heavy, doesn't snag, velcro or sticky anything doesn't pull on it, it's the best. I also like the lights -- had to look back on the questions to see how exactly to get all five functions, you wouldn't think it would be necessary after using things like this all the time, but I must have been tired when I got it, and didn't figure out the bright light or the wide angle.     • Excellent for night hikes / walks
Very solid product. I love to hike after work, and it's usually dark in the winter months. The trails on the park I go to are pitch black after 5 pm or so. Wearing this quickly solved the problem. Light is bright, battery life is good, fast & easy to charge. The head band is reasonably comfortable, it has an adjustable strap. Three light settings to choose from. The beam of light is directed a little too high, I had to lower my head to focus on the trail ahead, but no biggie. I would definitely recommend, great value for my $$$. ... show more

My old headlamp was terrible even with fresh batteries. My hunting buddies were using new technology bright LED headlamps so I ordered this Energizer headlamp. It is very bright and works great when you need to keep your hands free. I can’t speak on battery life but I will just keep extra batteries when I’m out in the field. I am not sure how much I will use the red light. Maybe traveling on a logging road or a well used path in the dark or when wanting to identify myself to other hunters. ... show more

Just what I wanted for our grandsons who are 11 this year. The only thing I didn't like was the very small box. It's about the size of a jewelry gift box for a ring. So, I ordered some tools to go wth them and some extra batteries. It just looked kind of silly to be giving such a small box to a young boy. Super comfortable and doesn't tug at my hair. I originally bought this for camping/backpacking but the strap is soft and secure that I can even wear it when I work out at night (no gyms during COVID times so I gotta use the park without scaring the children haha). been eyeing getting one of these handy lights for a while. I have a few areas around my home that don't have adequate light (furnace room) (Laundry room) etc. this light fit the bill perfectly! has night vision (red light that i don't use) the light itself tilts downward as well! super bright, comfortable and serves it's purpose well. have used it several times already, and it will be used for many years to come. you can't go wrong with this thing. less than 20.00. money well spent. ... show more
