This bed frame is a nice height off the ground, leaving plenty of storage room if that is your goal. I was able to assemble it myself (66y/o female) with just a little assistance tightening everything up. Tools were included and screws were properly labeled for location. Screw heads are rounded and curved so are less likely to jab a child or pet. The hinge in the middle of the side pieces allows you to pull one end up at a time during assembly and avoid having to crawl around on the floor (and try to get back up again). The slats were easy to slide in. Directions are mainly illustrations with minimal text. If you are thinking of buying bed stoppers/coasters for the legs ahead of time to protect your hardwood floor, the legs are rectangular rather than squared or round, with no sharp edges. The mattress does not fit down in on this frame. It lays on top. If you have a dog that likes to launch itself off the bed, the mattress may slide a bit off the frame; however, it is easy to make the bed and your sheets probably won't get pinched. ... show more

I am disabled, so I required assistance with assembly, but it was very very easy. I was kind of worried that my mattress would sag through the slats because of the reviews that I read, but I have a memory foam mattress and it’s perfectly fine. The bed is completely silent now and there is so much less transferred movement. I don’t even wake up to my husband leaving for work anymore. The only down side that I have found so far is that if you happen to have hardwood floors, it will move a little over time. Also, I recommend purchasing something to keep your mattress in place on top of the frame. I’m not sure if all mattresses slide, but our memory foam does. Item: COMASACH California King Bed Frame Heavy Duty,16" Black Metal Platform Bed Frame,Sturdy Steel Frame,Support up to 3500lbs,No Box Spring Needed,Noise-Free,Easy Assembly I ordered this Cali-King 16” high bed frame halfway through my home renovation. The item arrived in a (roughly) 7x9x36 inch branded box. It weighed about 50 lbs. After unboxing the set, there were scrapes/scratches on some of the pieces. The box had been re-taped several times and was dented, but there were no holes. The damage to the various pieces was noticeable only after taking off the plastic wrap around each one. So, this was factory damage (vs shipping damage). Check your pieces before assembling to see if there’s anything you can’t live with. The frame is fairly easy to assemble. Pieces are easily identifiable and labeled. It took about 45 minutes working at a slow pace. The Allen wrench they provide works well but, use a Torque (T25) bit if you have one handy. Using that and a screwdriver/drill, you’ll be able to tighten the screws a bit more. When you’re done assembling, you’ll have one extra short and long screw. (Side note: The screws have a very faint coat of oil on them. If you’re working on carpet, don’t place the screws directly on it as the oil will stain.) Most of the 20 smallest support beams (that go in last) snapped firmly into place. But, there were a few that didn’t go in as tight. And when sitting on/getting off the bed you can hear some slight creaking as the metal beams adjust. It’s not a squeak (like an old spring). It’s more of a metal-hitting-metal sound. Gonna try and wedge some washers in those areas to see if that helps any. The color is great. The form factor is excellent - very clean, very modern. It was a near-perfect fit for my mattress, and feels both solid and supportive. And, of course, the under-bed storage is great should you need it. I hid my subwoofer under there (it was previously sitting in a corner of the room). I also mounted some motion-sensor LED lights underneath. I’ll definitely follow up with an edit as the years go by to note any inconsistencies (worse creaking, squeaking, etc). But overall, this is a well thought out bed frame at a decent price point. I gave it 3 stars because of the multiple scratched pieces and the creaking but, I would buy this product again. ... show more

Finally a frame that doesn’t collapse. This is the only one that works for me so far and I’ve tried several from Amazon. It’s sturdy, doesn’t move or creak, and can withstand vigorous activity and heavy weights (I’ve tested). ** allow me to update my review , a lil late, i was able to contact seller by clicking that seller name on description. They were very helpful in getting the correct missing part to me. I just had to give my address and confirm which part was missing. It did take longer than I'd hoped for to receive it. About 13 days. Shipping from far away. However I will say upon finalizing the bed we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! THE SPACE UNDERNEATH IS AMAZING I can finally store extra bedding etc underneath. You can fit several storage bins under there, laundry baskets, etc. Very sturdy too. Id recommend this frame. If you do get one missing a part, id say it may be quicker to return it for another rather than wait for the part. (Original review) Upon delivery, the bars seem sturdy and simple to assemble. HOWEVER, I cannot assemble since it's missing a leg bar. I'm trying to contact seller for hope of sending the missing part, but I'm struggling to find any info and there's no number with the product and website only brings me back to Amazon, help!!! This was the correct size ordered and as sturdy as advertised. No squeaking! The directions were not spectacular because they were for 4 slightly different models all in one set of instructions. My husband swore that 2 screws were missing but in the end it was complete with some others left over. It would be better if each model came with only it's exact supplies and only it's exact instructions but we worked it out. Husband definintly used a drill to put this together. ... show more
