Active and Regular fit To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits, and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

I read the reviews about the tricky smaller sizing and ordering up, but I have been burned doing that on occasion. And since I have been wearing Columbia coats and jackets (different styles) for years, I know how they fit. I thought I had better order my regular size and not size up. Well, I'm really glad I did, because the jacket is great and fits perfectly with just a tee under it. Very flattering style. With a mid layer, it still zips, but I think it's a bit too snug across the chest. I didn't think it was all going to work out, but I'm glad it did! It's too late in the season for me to wear it now, because it took a LOOOONG time to arrive, but it was worth waiting for. I will enjoy wearing it late winter/early spring of next year. The jacket is beautiful I would have absolutely loved it. but had to return it. Because of the way it was packaged, the sleeves were creased. I mean CREASED. I tried wearing it, tried fluffing it in the dryer with a damp towel, but there are two VERY distinct creases in the sleeves that make it look and feel like you're wearing a board on your arm. Like I said - would have LOVED it but could not get the creases out of the sleeves, had to return it - was sorry that they took a $13 restocking fee out of it but I guess that's the way it is - I couldn't wear boards on my arms. ... show more
