These keep my feet 100% dry! I love these light boots esp with all this rain and muddy wet trails. I walk my dogs daily, rain or shine and need a boot to keep up with them without falling, slipping or getting soggy wet wet. Ordered 7 1/2 wide which is my normal size. At first I thought they were too tight but after a few times wearing them, they were perfect. My feet are narrow at the heels and wide in the mid step. I prefer not to have my feet forced to land on the toes which hurts my knees, these boots feel balanced. I wear orthotics which easily fit inside. The laces stay tied and tight and so far the only wear is on the inside of the boot on the heel area. The boots give me security on rocks and uneven slippery surfaces even with the dogs sometimes pulling or twisting around with their leashes. I tried some light jogging with these and there's where I started to have trouble with my big and little toes pushing up against the boot and being uncomfortable. So unfortunately I don't see using them for wet weather jogging. I have a pair of Solomon's waterproof boots which are not all that comfortable and more to the point they leak like crazy after only a short time and I really hate wet feet or having wet boots which can take too long to dry. ... show more

I'm usually a size 6, sized up to 6 1/2 to allow for socks (and an insert for more arch support if needed), the 6 1/2 is a great fit. There is some arch support already in these so I won't need an insert right away. They are pretty light weight, glad for that. Can't attest to the waterproof factor quite yet, but I wouldn't have purchased them if I didn't believe the dozens of reviews that say the waterproof claim on these boots is legit. ... show more

First of all I’m not one to write reviews but after using these hiking boots last week I must say I’m really impressed with the quality. I was thinking for the price point I was not getting something up to par with a good quality pair of hiking boots… oh how mistaken I was!! I was really impressed with the comfort and traction these boots provided we put them to the test last week in Colorado on several hikes and they definitely exceeded my expectations!! I went on a muddy hike today to break these in. First they are so comfortable and have nice toe room. I stepped in a deep muddy puddle and when I took my foot out the mud and water just ran off. They were still clean! My husband did not have waterproof shoes and his feet were wet. Buy the time we finished mine were bone dry. I'm writing this over a year after buying these hiking boots to say they are so comfortable and supportive. They keep my feet warm in winter and my feet are well taken care of in them. And they are quite durable. I wear these during fall, winter, and spring, and will buy them again when the need arises. I hope to find something similar in a summer weight shoe. ... show more

Sizing: I wear size 9. I ordered 9.5. I was torn on what size to order with all the mixed reviews. I probably could have gotten away with a 9 but I guess now I just have a little extra toe room. Comfort: This is probably one of the first pair of shoes/boots I’ve gotten that were actually comfortable the first time wearing! I work in a warehouse walking on concrete all day. I know they’re hiking boots but for me tennis shoes at work just aren’t cutting it anymore! They are extremely comfortable for me! Waterproof: I’ve not been able to test this area yet and usually I try to change into rain boots when it’s raining. I’m confident they will keep my feet dry for the most part. Overall: It was 15 degrees outside yesterday and they actually kept my feet WARM! With only one pair of socks on! They’re super comfortable and I’m in love with them! I can’t find anything negative to say on them. I’ll probably order another pair when these give out! Edit: I gave in and ordered a second pair different color. I decided to stay with the same size as before. I have gotten so many compliments on them at work! Some seem a little surprised when I tell them they’re hiking boots as most usually wear regular shoes or steel toe boots. These are SOO comfortable! ... show more

They fit so well! I got a size 9.5 probably could have gotten a 9.5 wide but overall I am very happy. I have worn them out and about a little already and they hold up great to the mud, rocks and dirt trails. I haven't done any long hikes in them yet so I don't know how well they will breathe on a long hike if your feet tend to get hot. Other than that the material seems good and sturdy and they will be great hiking boots this summer. ... show more
