  • So comfortable!
Size: 8 Color: Cordovan, Crown Jewel
Narrow feet and very slim ankles size 8 horrible plantar fasciitis I have flat feet and degenerative disk disease. My sciatic nerve and low back and knees and feet kill me! These are incredible! I literally can’t go a second without arch support, I wear orthotic slippers at home (been using crocs for over a year over vionic), and these are great! I was in them without changing the in sole pads for over 6 hours with a toddler that needed to be carried and stroller wagon to push and what not, it was a breeze. I didn’t get fatigued at all in regards to my feet. They held up great and dusted right off! The only gripe or request rather I would make is that the tongue have a through for the laces, just on principle lol. Though it didn’t matter they were fine. I haven’t tested the waterproofing yet! If you are on the fence just do it! Also you can’t beat the price and the shoe is very breathable and leather. It was august at rennfest in MD opening weekend I tested them out! Worth every penny! ... show more

  • Great for hiking & backpacking
Size: 9 Color: Black, Poppy Red
I want to give a bit of backstory. We have recently gotten more serious about hiking and backpacking and I spent a week looking and comparing shoes before deciding on these. And I'm glad I did! We're out in Arkansas, in the Ouachita Mountains, and are preparing to do the entire Ouachita Trail in one go next year (it is 223 miles), so I needed to prepare way in advance with good shoes. As of late, we've been doing anywhere from 5-8 miles a day and are getting ready to do upwards of 10-15 miles a day. So far, I love these! There is a lot of different terrain as you're going up and down these mountains, and the grip on these has proven to be great. They provide great ankle support, while not coming way up your ankle/leg. I've "rolled" my ankle a couple times, and I think they've paid for themselves just in saving my ankles! They are extremely comfortable and lightweight weight and have made all the difference in our hikes. They've also held up having to walk through small creeks as well; I haven't gotten them completely wet yet though. The material they're made with is fantastic, they're very well made. I'll try to post another update in a month or two when I've got a few more miles on them. But as of right now, I definitely recommend these if you're going out hiking or backpacking. ... show more

  • Needed ankle support and these delivered!
Size: 8.5 Color: Black, Poppy Red
I have weak ankles and have been looking for a pair of high top shoes that would help. All of the shoes I looked at were not at all supportive or not appealing to my style. So my search lead me to hiking boots. I found several that have a fur lining or are heavy. I read the reviews on these and I am glad I did! I have worn these a few times and found they are supportive, lightweight, and stylish! I normally wear an 8, but ordered an 8 1/2 because I have wide feet. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hiking boot or needing ankle support. ... show more

  • Need better insole
Size: 6.5 Color: Black, Poppy Red
I used this shoes for 2weeks traveling in Europe. I hiked 3 times in Switzerland, and used daily for sightseeing. Waterpoof and durability is fine, but the insole is too thin. I got blisters on both pinky toes on the first day of hiking (2hrs up/down rocky hill). You should add extra insole to it. I love the design that it matches to casual clothing like boots. ... show more

  • Very comfortable for my wide foot
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Quarry, Cool Wave
I bought these shoes for an upcoming Alaska trip, and warmth and comfort are very important. I was happy on both counts with this shoe. My foot is wide so having some wiggle room is important for comfort. The tread looks like it can handle some rough conditions as well.

  • Outstanding boots if you get the right size
Size: 10 Wide Color: Quarry, Cool Wave
It took me 5 pairs before I finally got the right size for these. Most Columbia boots run small and narrow. I know this because I own two different types of Columbia snow boots. They are the only brand I wear for snow/winter for the last 20 - 30 years. I bought these assuming they would also run small, big mistake. If you buy the right size, when you put these on, you won’t want to take them off because they are that comfortable. I normally wear 9-9.5 medium width shoes. I purchased a 10 wide, a half size up from my usual shoe size range, to allow for my feet to have plenty of room with hiking socks and because the toes are on my right feet do not lay flat like my left foot. Your toes should not feel squished in any shoe. I got wide because Columbia are usually on the narrow side. My left foot is a medium width (almost narrow) and my right foot is medium width (almost wide). I also purchased Columbia hiking socks which feel amazing in these boots. Quarry is a very pretty grey color with black, light grey and blue accents. Such a pretty color combination. I will be wearing these to walk our dog on the trails in our neighborhood, which I do daily and are often swampy and even flooded in some areas. I was previously using my Brooks Ghost sneakers but too often coming home with mud, wet socks and saturated shoes. We mostly do trails but also mix in some sidewalk walking, so I needed a shoe that would be good on both. I will come back to update my review should they not work well. Super excited to wear them tomorrow on our morning walk through the woods. Update: 2/20/23 I wore these yesterday for a 3 mile walk/hike through trails and on sidewalks walking a dog. They felt great while walking. I did notice that when I took them off, that my one hammer toe had redness from the top of the boots while walking but I never felt this while on the walk. A few hours later and my left knee has some strange pain while going up or down stairs. Next thing I noticed was some lower back pain and pain at the balls of both feet when I woke up this morning. Not sure that I will be wearing these often, maybe only on rainy days, but even then, I am not sure that the pain is worth it. I do have psoriatic arthritis in my knees but this pain is different, so I must have aggravated my knee somehow while wearing these hiking shoes. Debating on returning them because my brooks sneakers work great but I was specifically looking for waterproof and ankle support while on the trails. Update: 2/28/23 I have worn these again and had success, no knee or back pain afterward. Not my favorite shoe for walking our dog on sidewalks and not as comfortable as my Brooks but they are waterproof and are saving me in the trails right now. ... show more
