I’ve worn these every day for several weeks now and feel that I can write an honest review. I wore these boots sledding for 2.5 hours and they kept my feet warm and dry the entire time, wearing thin ankle socks. I wear them daily for walking our dog-lots of slush and wet/heavy snow-no issue here either. They are truly waterproof. I also wear them to run errands in. They provide great traction on ice. They come with an extra set of laces, so you can wash them (we have so much salt on our sidewalks!), and still have a pair to use, which I found helpful. They feel more like an athletic shoe than a boot on my feet, which makes them ideal for errands-no more clunking around the grocery store! They also don’t feel stiff around my upper ankle, so playing in the snow and walking feels comfortable. I’m a true size 7.5 in shoes, and ordered both 7W and 8W as many reviews stated these run narrow. I don’t notice a difference between the wide width and my regular boots, so I imagine the regular sizes do run narrow. I kept the size 8 pair anticipating that I’d need to wear wool socks, but I’ve been out in single-digit temps with these wearing thin socks and have been comfortable. I paid $80 for these, and for that price I find these to be a great value. Having worn these many times now through ice, slush and snow, I would pay more for these boots if needed. I really like these boots. They're a bit pricey, but Columbia brand usually holds up well. For me something that's well made, comfortable, and will last is usually worth paying a little more. They're lightweight and warm. I was replacing my Sperry duck boots after several years of use and wanted something a little warmer bc my feet would freeze when I wore them in snow. I like that they are fabric, but still waterproof. Most winter boots are usually a hard rubber, rigid, and don't have much flexibility, not these. I love that they're so much lighter weight. I think they're comfy, but they don't have the arch support you get from say a running shoe. One thing that should be noted is that these are narrow. I would say I don't have particularly narrow or wide feet. I usually wear the, "normal" size, e.g., I don't usually order wide or narrow shoes. If I had to pick one though my feet are on the wider side vs the narrow side. I debated if I should order a wide, and decided to based on other reviews that said these were narrow. I'm glad I ordered a wide they definitely would have been uncomfortable if I hadn't. I didn't love that they charged so much more for the wide though, but overall I'm really happy with my boots. These are good boots, the tread is great for icy hiking trails, they're very soft and flexible, but I will say they are narrow, as some other reviews have said. I had to risk these as a last-minute purchase before a week-long trip to Yosemite in the snow- my previous snow boots died. I was able to break them in and they were fine for light hiking and playing in the snow with my kids, my feet stayed warm and dry with wool socks. I'd say if your feet are wide at all, don't get these (unless you can find them in a wide size). I'm a regular size 8, with very high arches. I wrapped my baby toes in athletic tape just to be sure on the first couple days of the trip, and I'm glad I did. After the first 2 days I hiked tape-free and my feet were fine. They are very cute boots, not clunky in the least, can be worn with jeans easily for going out to dinner on a cold night. All in all I'm happy with them, but I wouldn't trust these on any serious hikes! ... show more

These Columbia Minx Shorty snow boots are so cute. I just love them! Best part is they are functional as well. We get winters here. Cold temps, snow, slush...all that. Sometimes we get a lot of snow and that's when I pull out the heavy weight boots. Other times, we get just a few inches and these are perfect for that. They do well on the ice, keep my feet dry and are comfortable and warm. The only issue is that they do run small. I typically wear a 6 in boots and that's what I ordered these in. There is no way I could wear thick socks with these. Luckily it isn't an issue as the coldest we typically get in the winter is single digits (not consistently) and these actually kept my feet fairly toasty with thinner socks. Any colder than that though and you'd definitely want to wear thicker socks so that would mean going up a half or full size. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots! After trying three other brands of boots and finding fault with their design/fit/material, I was starting to think that a warm, well fitting, easy to put on and take off winter boot didn’t exist. These were my final attempt, and I could not be happier with them! I did size up half a size from my usual size, just so that I would be able to wear heavier socks with them, and with the heavier socks it’s a snug fit. Luckily, these are so toasty warm that I have been able to just wear my regular socks with them. I have only worn them for short periods of time, but I have walked through 5 inches of snow and my feet stayed dry and warm, so what more could you want? They maybe look a bit goofy, but that’s more a matter of personal taste, and when it’s been cold and snowy for several months, who cares what your feet look like as long as they’re warm and dry? ... show more

I walk miles and miles under different type of trails (rocks, sand, creak and mod) and I feel safe, comfortable and warm. I love the boot! I walk in temperature 39Âş F to 43Âş F and have not problem feeling warm. Also the boot are NOT heavy and make walks easier for your back and knee especially if you are walking for long period of time. ***Suggestion for future buyers as a reference note: I am size 7 and I only found that the boot were a bit narrow for the size. This is why I'll suggest if you are more comfortable in a wider boot better choose half size a bit bigger especially if you are going to use thick socks.*** I was ok with the size because my feet are narrow and my only concert was the sock choosing but everything else was just perfect! ... show more

I bought these shoes bc of the aggressive winter we got in Jersey. I used them a lot when I visited Pittsburgh. I walked from Oakland to Shadyside and Bloomfield on these, and 1) they kept my toes warm throughout that adventure! I was so surprised at how well they did the job! 2) my feet were actually pretty comfy inside! Walking ~28k steps in blistering cold would have been a killer but these were amazing! My feet actually felt offended when I removed the shoes after the walk. 3) Keeps dry amid snow, and slightly resistant to sheets of ice on the pavement. I can’t say enough good things about these shoes. I avoided buying expensive shoes like these bc of how unaffordable they are, but once I just ripped that bandaid off, it feels like I shouldn’t have oppressed my feet and suffered winter on $30 winter boots. These are so worth the money. Bonus points bc they’re pink. Fits true to size, I wear size 7 sneakers and I hedged my bets on buying size 7 boots. ... show more
