  • I sized up a half size
Size: 10.5 Color: First Generation Nori, Khaki Ii
I normally wear a 10 but bought 10.5 because of the reviews. It fits like a normal 10 so that’s great. They remind me of zero gravity/barefoot shoes because there is no heel on them and they are very light weight. They seem very high quality.

  • See what I wrote & YOU decide.
Size: 10 Wide Color: Nori/Khaki Ii
Not as wide as it should be. Columbia should be ashamed of themselves. I was a long time customer until the past few string of purchases- this included but I returned the 3 other pairs. I wear a 10 WIDE! The others were horribly narrow - look where they’re made and you’ll know WHY! This pair? It’s not as wide as it should be but I kept them because we were going to Washington DC to see my niece, her fiance and new baby. Columbia needs to rethink what’s important. Customer base and where they’re need to start manufacturing it OR the path they’re on now and many long term customers ditching their brand. ... show more

  • COMFY!!
Size: 8.5 Color: Graphite, Deep Rust
I haven't worn the boots out in the cold and/or snow yet, as I bought them for my treks to Virginia and D.C. in cold weather, so they may have to wait until next winter for FULL use. Our REALLY cold days are, probably, over for now here in South Texas (YES, it gets COLD...in the 20s!!), so these will be kept as my cold weather traveling shoes. Trying them on and wearing them around the house, for now...they felt great!! Very easy to slip on, soft and comfy...no pinching. I, ordinarily, wear 7 & 7-1/2 (up from 6-1/2 & 7, from years past) in sandals and closed-toe shoes, and 8 or 8-Wide, in boots. I've begun getting boots in 8-1/2 (8-1/2 WIDE, if possible) to give my feet room because of bunions. I wanted these in 8-1/2 WIDE in the BLUE color, but they weren't available, so I took a chance on the 8-1/2 REGULAR. There is enough length in the shoe, and 'give' in the width to make them comfortable. With thin socks, there is, about, 3/4" to 1" of room in the toe, but I plan on wearing THICK socks with them, which will fill the gap nicely. I'm awaiting a pair in BLACK that are 8-1/2 WIDE so I'll be able to tell if there is much difference in the sizing and comfort level. Beautiful boot, comfy, and very nice-looking, as well. They seem well-made, but time will tell. I agree with others who've said that the COLUMBIA brand is a good brand. I have several pairs of their hiking boots, and they've all held up well. ... show more

  • The Boot to Own for Hiking, Rain, Cold Weather
Size: 10 Color: Black/Khaki Ii
Loved this shorty boot- just returned from winter in South NZ and Tasmania- absolutely perfect because it wasn’t quite cold enough to snow. It kept my feet warm, it was rugged for moderate hiking trails, water proof, lightweight, stayed clean, very comfy insides.

  • Warm but uncomfortable
I got these to wear at the Farmers Markets that I work at, which are outside rain or shine. Sadly, I gotta keep looking for something to keep my feet warm. Yes, these are warmer than regular shoes. Sadly, part of the warming design is a very, and I mean VERY thick insole. So thick, that it does not offer support. Having some cushioning to take the blow of walking on pavement or gravel is helpful, but too much cushioning is bad for your feet and ankles according to podiatrists and my own bones telling me so. So, your heel is wobbling on a thick elevated heel pad, while there is a steep decline toward the ball of your foot, but still- that area is thick and unstable. There isn't even an arch support or stabilizer bar inside the shoe, or raised ridges like on some insoles like the Super Feet brand (I think thats the name, I didn't like them, but I understand the design). Next- when I walk, something about the structure of the boot tongue and upper part rubs a lot on my lower shin where it meets my ankle. I can't figure out why it feels like a dull ache, I tried loosening the shoestrings, and wearing thick socks. But the more I walk, the more it presses against my skin over and over wearing it out and causing a dull ache. But- they are waterproof so far, and cozy for wearing to the office. I changed my insoles and it allows them to be slightly bearable, but most folks regular insoles are a lot lower to the ground then the insole that came in these, so the shoe ends up being bigger around the ball of the foot and toes, which makes it feel like a size to large, and that is not good for support either. Either way, no matter the insole, you're basically, slightly rolling your ankle left and right. Sorry...these just don't feel like someone actually tested these by working outside in real life circumstances. I'll keep them for office days and find something else to wear when I have to actually walk. ... show more

  • Good boots, good tread, kept my feet warm and dry in snow, but they are narrow
Size: 8 Color: Nori/Khaki Ii
These are good boots, the tread is great for icy hiking trails, they're very soft and flexible, but I will say they are narrow, as some other reviews have said. I had to risk these as a last-minute purchase before a week-long trip to Yosemite in the snow- my previous snow boots died. I was able to break them in and they were fine for light hiking and playing in the snow with my kids, my feet stayed warm and dry with wool socks. I'd say if your feet are wide at all, don't get these (unless you can find them in a wide size). I'm a regular size 8, with very high arches. I wrapped my baby toes in athletic tape just to be sure on the first couple days of the trip, and I'm glad I did. After the first 2 days I hiked tape-free and my feet were fine. They are very cute boots, not clunky in the least, can be worn with jeans easily for going out to dinner on a cold night. All in all I'm happy with them, but I wouldn't trust these on any serious hikes! ... show more
