They are very comfortable, I usually wear size 8 in shoes and purchased a size 8.5 they fit well, but I don’t wear a thick sock with them or they may be a little tight. As someone who lives in a cold/snowy climate (at the base of the mountains in Utah) and who participates in a lot of outdoor winter activities, I did a lot of research before buying a pair of winter/snow boots. I'm always thrilled when I get it right on the first try without having to send anything back. These boots are worth every penny. I have come to be a major fan of Columbia outerwear in general and these boots were no exception! From the moment I put them on I knew I would love them if they kept the warmth in and the wet out- which they do! These boots are extremely comfortable! I can wear them all day and don't want to take them off! They aren't a fashion accessory but aren't ugly either which is nice. I bought them to do a job, not look darling, but I actually really like the way they look as well. They look just fine under my jeans. They fit great and are "substantial" without being super clunky and are surprisingly light. Most importantly they keep your feet warm and keep any and all moisture OUT! You could trudge around in sleet, snow, puddles, mud for hours and stay toasty and dry, and I have chronically cold feet so I would know! The tread is really substantial as I mentioned and I feel totally comfortable hiking in these in winter or just hanging Christmas lights on a ladder outside. I can't praise these boots enough! If you're look for the cutest and least boot looking waterproof boots in the world, these are not for you, but if you want a real winter work horse boot that you can actually wear under boot cut jeans to work and not look completely silly, these are a winner! These boots came earlier than expected and fit perfectly. Very lightweight and super comfortable! Keep my feet very warm. I just love the warmth, comfort and ease of movement, not to mention how cute they are!

I'm so glad I bought these boots! I bought these to replace an older pair that was heavy and had a zipper. These are much more easy to put on/take off with no zipper to get stuck or hurt my hands. The boots are easy to step into and take seconds to lace up. They are the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever had - they're lightweight with good arch support and the back part of the boot doesn't fall down and dig into the back of my ankle as I've had happen with other boots. I've had no problem wearing them daily this past winter. The boots are warm if I keep moving. Standing still, my feet get cold, but that is true for all boots that I've worn in cold weather. As long as I keep walking, my feet stay warm. The boots have held up in snow really well, but I do not recommend wearing them in rain. I wore them in some heavy rain and they soaked all the way through. I'm not sure if the water came in through the tops, or if it soaked through the material, but they are not waterproof for rain. Walking in snow has been fine. The boots have held up all winter and are still in good shape. I only wish the tread was better - it's not very grippy and I slid several times on packed ice and snow. Maybe this is something that can be improved in the next iteration of this style. Overall, though, these are great boots and they look and feel good. I waited until I put these boots to the test on a 7 day trip to the Swiss Alps. It did exactly what I wanted. It was stylish, comfortable, warm and non slip! My feet never got wet. I particularly tested it at a slippery mountain waterfall and on snowy surfaces. It was perfect. Plus I got alot of compliments!!! I highly recommend these boots! ... show more

    • Love these boots!
While these aren't as padded and comfortable as my previous pair of Columbia boots they make up for it in other areas. These boots are much warmer, stylish and are more waterproof. They are still pretty comfortable, but not as padded as my other ones. The last time I wore them it was a warmer, snowy and slushy day. My feet stayed completely dry. I have feet that are a little wider than normal, but had no trouble with the width. I normally wear a size 9.5, but ordered a 10 so I'd have room for thicker socks. The 10 seemed a little big even with thicker socks so I then ordered a 9.5 to be sure I had the right size. The 9.5 fit with thicker socks, but felt too tight in the toe box for my liking. I would say these run pretty true to size, but if you like a little more room for winter/thicker socks maybe go a half size up. If I didn't have feet that are a little wide the 9.5 would have been fine. I hope this helps someone else so you don't have to order two different sizes like I did. I did also measure my foot before ordering, but when the sizes are so similar in length it wasn't super helpful. ... show more

I have not worn them in the cold yet. I took the out of the box. They are very nice and look very warm. I tried them on and they fit really good. I wear a size 10 and I ordered a 10.5. Other boots I've ordered have been way too tight and too snug and I ended up just giving them away. These fit perfect. I have room to wear them with warm socks. I bought them to wear in the winter and I am sure these will be perfect for what I bought them for. They look really nice as well. If I wear them in the winter and I do not like them I will update my review. But, for now I am so glad to have them. They come with great reviews and the price was good. ... show more

These run a little small. I bought 6.5, my usual size, but would buy a 7 if I bought them again. They feel a bit stiff but seem warm. After a few times wearing them I’ll know better if they were worth it. I would recommend ordering up a half size though. UPDATE: I went out today in 28° F temperature to shovel snow. I have a fair amount of area to shovel so I was out for over an hour. These boots kept me warm, dry and perfectly comfortable! I highly recommend them! ... show more
