I'll be honest, a lot of the reason I picked these boots is because they were on sale for an attractive price. But continuing to be honest, I'm VERY glad that I picked them. They're very light, only 14oz per shoe. On a long hike, every extra ounce on your feet feels like pounds on your back, so the weight is a big positive point. They're very comfortable. I wore them around the house for a few days to break them in and they were comfortable right from the start. They did become more comfortable though, so I do recommend breaking them in a bit before the first hike. The grip that these boots get on rock and other hard surfaces is just insane. You will not slip! Some of my local trails have a lot of rocks and some rock faces to hike across and the superb grip was really really nice. Overall they are a big upgrade in grip and stability over my previous Bearpaw hiking shoes. They do run small. After reading the reviews, I ordered my regular size and one half size up. My regular size was way too small. A half size up is slightly small, but I kept them because loose hiking boots are a disaster waiting to happen. My friend who also bought a pair bought a full size up and reports that the fit is great. They also are really waterproof. I walked through a shallow stream, not only did I not get wet, I totally couldn't feel how cold the snow runoff water was. Also definitely breathable. So wow. Tried them on right out of the box and wore them out to dinner. It's been way more comfortable than expected. Super lightweight which was what I was wanting, and very cushiony and dare I say bouncy fit. Not like memory foam, but still much more comfortable to stand on than I expected. I cannot speak to their durability or waterproof qualities...but I sure can say out of the box a big winner. I did size up half a size in case I wanted substantial socks. Purchased for my sister. They are the only pair of shoes that last and are made of great quality. She is a window washer and is on her feet all day and is always climbing ladders and walking on roofs. They are an amazing price and hold up to all weather conditions. Got these for my wife. She's normally wears a 9.5 M. They were too tight and too short. - returned Went up to size 10 M. Length was ok but were still too tight. - returned Went to a size 10 Wide. At first I thought these would not be wide enough in the toe box but after wearing them at home to break them in they fit perfectly. I wore these on my trip to Tahoe and it was great in the snow. With thick socks my feet stayed warm, and not a lot of slipping either. I still slid when the ice was very sleek but never fell so these were a great fit. They were also not too heavy and I’ve been wearing them all day and felt no pain on my feet which is something I struggle with because I’m prone to get callouses. Look good, but not US size 10.5 (EU41.5 / 27.5 cm) as listed. Fits like size 9.5 (40 / 26 cm). My foot is 26.5 cm, they are small, short. Requesting a return.
