Mesh-lined back vents make it perfect in hot, humid weather, and tabs let you securely roll up your sleeves. A fishing-ready button-up shirt with a fold-over collar. The fabric provides UPF 50 rated sun protection, while the smooth Tactel nylon taffeta fabric is lightweight and dries quickly. Four self-draining pockets at the chest, along with a gear loop, and rod holder keeps things handy while you work on your next lure. I really wanted to replace my old Columbia shirts with new cotton ones. The others, while doing their job of protecting me from the sun for many, many washes, got pretty darn dirty and hopelessly stained as I wore them while working in my garden. Most of the sun-protective shirts that Columbia sells now are polyester, which just doesn’t breathe. I was delighted to find these cotton ones. I ordered M and they fit perfectly. Bought 1x, GORGEOUS color and great shirt in every other way! Why would Columbia make the sleeves 2-3" too short. Deal breaker since your forearms can therefore get burned easily. ALSO-WARNING!! Sideway seller charged almost $14 to ship it! I didn't notice-obviously-until I rec'd the shirt with the invoice inside. If they had to charge, perhaps $5 is more reasonable. ... show more

I hate sunscreen, but there is no getting around it in FL. This shirt is super lightweight and breathable. Its the good kind of material that feels more like a nice silk texture, not the heavier walmart cheap feel. I got the sun protection without the sunscreen or the drawback of a sweaty cotton shirt baking to my skin in the sun. The medium fit as expected, im a typical medium and wear a size eight pants and the bottom of the shirt fell nicely over my hips. It is a bit loose around the upper and mid section, but if you're wearing this shirt in hot outdoor environment, thats what gives it the airy, no-cling feel. Love all the pockets. Theyre right over the breasts so some may have a hang up about putting things in them and their chest looking funny...whatever, if you're rockin this shirt outdoors doing fishing or hunting, you will find them so useful you wont even be caring about if your chest does/doesnt look lumpy. I could have a third boob but a fish doesnt care either. Only bad thing i can say is even though i love this shirt for fishing, thats all id wear it for now. I went with a white and have quite a few stains where my sunscreen tinted it a weird dirty yellow, and a few other random contact stains that arent going anywhere. Kindof a shame since the cut and sleeve up/down option is fashionable enough to wear about anywhere in florida. I remedied that though by getting two more in tan and light blue.
