As someone who was looking to get a cologne like Dior Sauvage without spending the money, I decided to pull the trigger on this. I also went to Perfumania and requested two spritzes of Sauvage to compare against. Here is what I found: Is it a Sauvage Dupe? No. It does smell similar. However, where Sauvage has more of a pepper smell on the dry down, Ventana holds more of a vanilla/sweet smell with a hint of pepper. Not to say it isn't great, because it smells good. But it is not a Sauvage dupe as some claim. You do not get the soapy smell from something like Prada Carbon (another potential Sauvage dupe) though, which is nice. Projection: Projection was VERY limited with this cologne. You'll need to use 4-5 sprays to get any type of projection. Strength: The cologne lasts about 2-2.5 hours before needing to reapply. As a way to avoid this on a day out, I sprayed on my throat, shoulders, and on my wrists. It allowed for about 3ish hours of smell before it died down. Bottle: The bottle it comes in is very large and somewhat hard to hold. It looks cool on the shelf, but its clumsy when you are applying and holding onto a huge cap. They could easily reduce the bottle footprint. The top of the applicator is a little loose and I've read reviews that it could fall off. I can attest that my bottle has this as well. Overall: If you are looking for a 1:1 Sauvage dupe, this is not it. It is somewhat close, but has a lot of differences. If you want something that has a familiar smell to Sauvage for like 5x savings, then this is a good cologne for you. Just be ready to douse yourself in the cologne before going out and know that it will reduce its projection quickly by the time you're out. ... show more

I’ve been wearing this for a bit and it smells really good. It’s fresh and clean and honestly reminds me a little of Sauvage, just a bit softer. It lasts a decent amount of time on me and I’ve gotten a few compliments already. Not too strong but still noticeable in a good way. What a wonderful smell. He gets stopped in the supermarket asking what a nice scent he is wearing. Beautiful dupe to Dior Eau Sauvage. His previous dupe is not being made anymore. First pump does not smell good at all. You need to spray a few pumps out to get oxygen in. Shake it and put it away for a few weeks to macerate. Then use it and it will be wonderful. ... show more

Blind buy based on the notes + reviews but not for me. When I smelled this upon spraying on my skin, my first thought was top salesman at t mobile. Slick back hair, tight slacks & polo. Chomping gum. It’s one of those scents that a female would smell and talk about getting a headache or covering her nose. This scent gives me douchebag vibes but thats just my opinion lol.
