Although the front pocket of this Columbia jacket is a little funky, this jacket is very cozy and warm, while still being lightweight. I ordered this jacket in size medium, and I think the sizing chart is pretty accurate. Medium was a little larger in some dimensions on me, but is perfect with layers underneath. Some of the design choices with this jacket feel a little unusual. The Moonvista/white color combination is accurate to the product photo, although it is also a bit of a strange combo of heathery gray with plum accents. Not bad looking once you get used to it. The front top pocket is really the weird looking part of the jacket. It stands out so much since it’s highlighted in the accent color, and it’s such an unusual shape that it is rather impractical to store things in it. Aside from the odd front pocket, this jacket is very nice. It is surprisingly warm despite how lightweight it is, and the fabric is very cozy and soft. It’s perfect for a brisk day, and works well with layers either underneath or on top. The seams seem to be stitched well, and the zippers are solid. Although the design itself isn’t my favorite, the jacket is very functional and has grown on me with how comfortable it is in cooler weather.

I live in the south east with mostly mild winters and so I wear more fleece style jackets than anything too heavy most of the time. I have loved so many Columbia jackets, especially their Fire Side Sherpa, so I was really eager to try out this style Sherpa jacket. In my book, it's another winner that is stylish and warm! I love it! It fits great like they usually do and I easily do layers under it if needed. It is well constructed and the zippers all runs smoothly. I love that the pockets have zippers and the touch of cranberry color in the edging pops. The addition of the hood is also a really nice option to have as well. The Sherpa fabric is so fuzzy and cozy warm while protecting from chilly winds and is still quite a lightweight jacket. It has a great casual look and works great with jeans. This is a fabulous jacket to add to any wardrobe!

This jackets is hands down awesome. Cutting to the chase: 36F overcast and 25% humidity in Denver this jacket kept me warm and cozy. I was only wearing a short sleeve lightweight tshirt under and I think I could have done well at 34F as well, even lower with an extra warm layer. Downside: the fluffy part can catch nature things that would be hard to clean afterwards so I would avoid hiking with it if those will be present. Otherwise is a great jacket.

This jacket is super warm and true to size. I ordered according to the size chart and ended up with a large because I have a 40 inch chest. It fits just like my other Northface jackets and is very very warm. It’s very fuzzy but does not shed or leave residue on dark clothing, which was a major plus. It’s got lots of pockets with zippers to keep your stuff secure and is great for activities. I live in Texas so this is more than enough for our winters. I would say it’s good for maybe 50 degrees and above. Not sure it would be very warm for something below that. I will say there were quite a few delays and receiving the item but overall, I am happy with it. Color is more of a maroon than purple.

We live in TX and most of the winter get by with hoodies and light jackets. This is the perfect jacket for the cooler months when you don’t need a heavy winter coat. It’s super soft and also has a hood on it. Love the color combos and the fit and feel. Great jacket!!
