Good material and construction. Pockets are useful and fount it to be weather proof. There is no zipper or snow elastic bands at the bottom of them. So fitting onto ski boots is easy but not sealed, so snow will come inside. Once onto regular shoes I found the length to be excessive and even when rolling them up, they will drag on the floor.

Size fit info: I normally wear a 36" x 36". I got the large. It's an acceptable fit. Not too long, not too short. Anything beyond 36" inseam though is going to be too short. If you're a 34" - 36" inseam, don't worry, they will fit ok. Again,I normally wear a 36" X 36" and they fit me like a glove, except in the waist, which is a little big. But no problem theres belt loopholes. The waist is a true 38" or so so if your size is a 35"-38" X 34"-36" inseam, the large will fit. Essentially, the "true" size of the large is "38" X "34.5". If your inseam is 36" like mine is it will fit ok and won't be too short. I wish they had a tall version but for some reason it's almost perfect for me because I get a sharp, tight fit out of the 34.5" inseam which makes it look good for metropolitan areas. I can't say enough good things about these pants. The first pair was so nice, I ended up getting 2 more. I bought them to supplement the bugaboo pants, but the design is so good for what I was looking for that they've become my main winter pants. When I first took them out of the box, I was disappointed. The material looked cheap and flimsy. Like paper quality plastic wrap. Then I actually started wearing them around my city in the rain. They're super comfortable and warm. In moderate to heavy rain, nothing gets in. They look attractive and have an attractive look to them. The thinner material is actually perfect for cities like mine where it's windy and rains a lot. They are probably not the best option for strenuous sports like skiing and snowboarding. The stress would probably rip the fabric. But if you want to shovel snow, go out for a walk, or go to the store when it's raining or wet, etc. they make great fall/winter pants for that. Like I said, I live in a city where it is always raining, and I wear them around town. They're very comfortable and warm. I definitely recommend these if you are looking for casual fall/winter rain/snow pants. I had them in pouring moderate to severe rain wearing them consistently in it for over 2 hours. No rain got through. In snow they'll be fine. But if you're planning to leap around in the snow and snow dive, etc. it might not be the best option. Something thicker would be better. These seem to be more for regular social activities where you are doing light activities.

The media could not be loaded. Well, I scoured the reviews for these pants to find out if anyone had used them skiing or snowboarding. It's different than hiking because you are exposed to the open winds while sitting on the chair lift or going down the mountain where can you get really cold. Could not find any. I ordered a medium, but got a large, sent it back think I'd rather large, and finally got a medium. Amazon was really good about correcting this, exchanged two pairs and got the right size all within a week. I finally use these at a ski resort and had a blast! My legs were not cold at all. They fit true to size and looked really good. I'm surprised how warm they kept my legs. The last time I had snow pants, I remember them being thick and puffy. These are more like wind pants but really well insulated and keep out the water and cold. Granted I wore leggings underneath but they did exactly what they were supposed to do.. And all for under $50. Amazing. Thank you for the excellent product and brand!

First piece of clothing I ever bought online. I am not an easy fit and old school so I need to see and touch. Figured Columbia has a pretty good history with me so I went for it. I got a great price I live in Miami so not to much of a choice other than have to be a rich man Peter Glenn. Need to win the lotto before I step in there again. Delivery was prompt and free but beware they just drop it and go, I hope you live in a nice neighborhood So I would be very skeptical about ordering anything too expensive. I am a new Amazon customer for sure. I feel for local retail businesses. The Pants fit great I just wished I would have noticed that the pants pocket had no zippers on the side pockets, they will be filled with snow I guess. I need to return something lets see how that goes.........

These are EXACTLY what I wanted them to be. I ordered them for attending outdoor sporting events. I wanted something that was windproof and warm. I haven't had the opportunity to see if they are weather proof as well but will soon. I did not want the gainers at the bottom, and these do not have that. I'm not sure how well they would do in heavy snow, but again, not what I ordered them to do. They were very warm (40 degree night, was almost too warm). The pockets are placed perfectly. placing items in them does not make the pants bulky at all, yet it is easy to secure wallet, phone, keys, etc. If I had one complaint, the velcro on the butt pockets is nearly impossible to get open one handed....but again, that just makes the items in the pocket all the more secure. Overall, these couldn't be better. light weight but very warm. Fit as expected (I wear a 36x34 pant and the XL were perfect). If you are shorter than a 34 length, they may be a bit long. Great buy. Very pleased.
