I use this for working outside, and they are very comfortable and light. It says that is also waterproof but I used it 8 hours straight while raining and obviously my feet where soaking wet, but I accept that at some point the boots don't resist anymore and obviously it's my fault for being too long under the rain. Second pair. First pair lasted 2 years of daily use. They probably should have lasted longer. I'm giving them a second chance because of the price and how comfortable they are. Got these boots just in time for a cruise to Alaska. Great fit (my normal size) and very comfortable for everything from Air Travel to an ocean cruise, to walking about Alaska towns sightseeing. After the cruise adventure, they look like brand new. I'm very pleased.

I was really impressed by the soft leather, I think is leather, and quality construction. The color speckles on the tread you see in the picture are thankfully not noticeable. After a few 2-5 mile hikes I got these boots broken in. I walked in some shallow puddles and wet grass in a field bog and my feet stayed dry. It's nice they threw in an extra lace too. Some cons are these boots are well insulated almost like snow boots and might be a little to warm in the summer and I hiked about 10 miles and these boots felt a little hard in the toes. The boots are very light and comfortable for the most part which is quite a feat because it's always a challenge to find shoes that fit my narrow feet. I only paid $60 for these Columbia boots, which was quite a bargain. ... show more
