Best hiking boot I ever bought! I gave this little boot (Size 12) the roughest endurance test this side of Everest!! I specifically purchased this boot for a hike that was more of a rock scramble with a 5 mile rough terrain hike incorporated into it. It pulled through for me with flying colors and super high marks!! This hiking boot is a 10 all the way! These boots are a bargain for how long they've lasted me, 4 years and counting, with no issues. I've warn them in the snow when it was 20⁰, during a hike in Colorado when it was in the 80's, as a rain boat when walking and even to ride my motorcycle. Whatever the occasion, they've remained comfortable and still in great condition. My first pair were light colored and showed a lot of dirt so I went with a darker color this time. Had an old pair of hiking boots and arch was getting weak so ordered these purely on the reputation of the brand. I've worn them for over a month now and they are great! Used them in the Grand Canyon as well as hiking around our neighborhood and I am very happy with these. Nice arch support and well made boots. Not too heavy but sturdy unlike some of the lightweight ones that you can feel every rock you step on. I was really impressed by the soft leather, I think is leather, and quality construction. The color speckles on the tread you see in the picture are thankfully not noticeable. After a few 2-5 mile hikes I got these boots broken in. I walked in some shallow puddles and wet grass in a field bog and my feet stayed dry. It's nice they threw in an extra lace too. Some cons are these boots are well insulated almost like snow boots and might be a little to warm in the summer and I hiked about 10 miles and these boots felt a little hard in the toes. The boots are very light and comfortable for the most part which is quite a feat because it's always a challenge to find shoes that fit my narrow feet. I only paid $60 for these Columbia boots, which was quite a bargain. ... show more
