The media could not be loaded. I bought these shoes when I was buying something else and they came up as a suggestion. I am super glad I ended up with them!! They Awesome! I have a wide fore-foot and even the regular fit perfectly. The upper is mesh on top, which is great for breathability in the summer and they are low cut that you can wear them with no-show socks and shorts. They are also really versatile that you can to the gym or out around the beach. I used to work for a footwork company back in the day and I only wish them that their shoes fit my foot as well. While they have held up for a long time, still look great I want another pair another color perhaps. If you’re on the fence about these, I would say go for it! Never owned Columbia shoes, but liked the look. Very happy with them. Good looking, comfortable, breathable and really great traction on all surfaces/terrain. Slippery rocks, muddy trails, asphalt trails, clay trails...zero issues. Felt very confident in their grip on everything. Highly recommend.

Purchased this pair in May 2023, have been using it as a daily driver for work and for weekends in the past eight months. Fit: true to size, I use Nike casual shoes as a generic benchmark and it feels the same in size. Pros: - Awesome support! I can stand in these for over four hours without feeling fatigue. In other pairs of office and casual dress shoes I've tried, I can't stand in them for more than a maximum of two hours before feeling uncomfortable. Something about these Fairbanks sole designs allow long time standing more comfortably, I'm guessing it has to do with the studded design to allow pressure on the foot to release. - Great water resisting. While it's not goretex nor waterproof, it does a nice job of preventing any light water splashes that is caught on the fabric to reach your feet. This was tested in the rain and in riverbeds, I've noticed the material keeps the water on the outer layer. There is a Cons: - Ankle strap is somewhat useless, a revision consideration is to loop it to make it function better. - Can trap heat inside, if you are a sweaty feet person, this is going to happen with certainty. This is due to the padded suede design on the back plus the main fabric weave doesn't ventilate quickly. - It's not grippy in slippery conditions, one example being marble floors and soap. But in the ice, snow and mountains it has no problem for conditions with generic forest trails. Have not attempted on trails made up of loose rocks. After 8 months of daily use, some cosmetic threads are starting to come out on some corners of the laces and the bottom sole has already worn off that where the logo is almost no longer visible. This is a bit quick for maybe 300-500 miles of use. Overall 4.25/5 stars, there is a lot of room for improvement if Columbia decides to add features in the next revision. ... show more

Didn't buy these for hiking; needed black shoes for work that were going to hold up for more than 8-9 months. Durability remains to be seen, but these are excellent for being on your feet all day. I do spend a lot of time going over uneven ground and they offer plenty of support. The sole is stiff and the lugs are deep enough that you won't lose grip in loose dirt or gravel; I also bought the high top version of these after wearing these for a week and I'm super happy with both. ... show more

Have been wearing these for several months now and they are light and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the shoe laces are extremely long. I lace them the usual old fashion way and I have several inches left.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for to wear on a recent trip to the far east. They match all my clothes, look great, have great grip on a variety of terrain and are durable and well-made. You can wear them anywhere and even hike in them, they have good support. With the laces tucked in they slip right on and off yet fit great when worn. They're almost perfect except for one problem, they are not comfortable. Even after walking several miles to break them in, they are just not as comfortable as a good walking/running shoe should be and this makes a massive difference in fatigue when your are traveling or out and about for long periods of time. Don't get me wrong, they are probably ok for around town but don't expect great cushioning like a good running shoe. If Columbia focused on a better, more comfortable sole, they would have a 5 star winner. ... show more

Columbia Fairbanks low sneaker. A good fit, light weight, and very comfortable. But the shoes have a strong smell that is pretty unpleasant. I've had them for a few weeks and they still smell like a petrochemical factory. I have to keep them in a plastic bag when I'm not wearing them.
