Pros: ~ Breathable. Never had much sweating and heat trap with these shoes. They've been good for 40-95 degree weather. ~ Flexible. These shoes are very flexible for a hiking shoe making them easy to walk at a faster pace. ~ Quality. I have seen mixed feedback on the quality of these shoes but i've been using them as my main drivers for 400+ miles already and they haven't developed any splits or holes yet. ~ Quick drying. These are pretty quick to dry when fully submerged in river crossings. I take out the sole and under direct sun they are relatively dry in 1-2ish hours. Cons: ~ Size up by 0.5, I usually wear a 9.5 but have pretty wide feet and prefer a big toe box. Getting size 10 was perfect for me. ~ Soft sole. This is where I think these shoes are more for beginner hikers compared to more experienced ones that have to go through scrambles. Because the soles are so flexible, these shoes will absolutely kill your feet when you're walking on jagged rocks or un-even terrain. I would get sore feet after 3-4 hours of hiking with these shoes compared to a more rigid shoe that would last me 8-10 hours pretty comfortably. ~ Suede design on the back gets dirty really easily and it's not the easiest to clean out. ... show more

There are the most comfortable do-everything shoes I have purchased. This is not hyperbole. Ever since the Great Chinese shoe invasion hit our country, finding comfortable fitting shoes have been next to impossible for me. These are more comfortable than slippers They are great on the trail, losing a game of HORSE with my neighbor, or wearing on casual Friday.... I hope the person at Columbia who someday suggests that this model be discontinued will be immediately fired. ... show more

These are an excellent all around shoe. I ended up trying out a pair and eventually bought 5 pairs and gave one to my father since he has the same size. I use them for all activities and put about 15-20,000 steps in them each day! Slip right on and fit great!
