The Newton Ridge is a good-looking shoe with good reviews. My regular size fits well. Top opening is snug, once on they are really comfortable. No exposure yet to water or snow. The insulation keeps my feet cozy warm during the extreme cold weather recently. I've worn them a couple weeks and am pleased. Time will tell about durability. I liked that they are made in Vietnam versus China (whose shoes usually separate from the sole quickly). Last week I attempted to order a pair for my son and was surprised at the price drop. A closer look at the specifications indicated "Made in China." I didn't place the order. I'm happy with mine, gambling that the sealant doesn't blow out. Hedged the bet by ordering a package of Boot Adhesive.

So comfortable, bought this for disc golf. Originally had some hiking shoes that did the job, but weren't water proof. This boots are amazing. Specially in the morning when I usually go and the grass is wet. Now I don't have to worry about my socks getting wet and feeling discomfort the rest of the day, while I play. This boots also have insulation which also keep your toes nice and warm, but are not over the top to not use them when it's sunny. Highly recommend for disc golf or hiking.

First of all, I’m a girl. I tried a couple pairs of the women’s Columbia in this type of boot. The toe box was extremely narrow. And not comfortable. So I decided to try the men’s version. I got a great deal 30% off, cross compared women to men’s sizes. I took a chance and ordered them. I do home care, so I’m out in the elements a lot and I needed something warm for the cold weather. Also, For outdoor excursions. I have yet to actually try them out, so far, very happy! Much more room in the toebox and they feel warm and cozy on my feet. Great arch support as well. Going to customize them with some cute laces.

I love the Colombia line of hiking boots. I purchased two pairs of the Newton Ridge Plus II Suede Waterproof Hiking boots in different colors and cannot say enough about them. They are stylish, comfortable and high quality. So I must say I was disappointed when I purchased this Newton Ridge Waterproof Omni-Heat II Hiking Shoe in the same size as the hiking boot. The quality was excellent and the fit, at least at first, seemed perfect - just like the boot. But after a while, I started to experience pain in one of my left toes. I didn't think it had anything to do with the hiking shoe, but then I noticed when I wasn't wearing it, the pain would subside - until I started wearing it again. So I stopped wearing it and went back to wearing the suede hiking boot and the pain disappeared. It seems that the hiking shoe is either narrower or lower in profile in the box toe area as compared to the boot but otherwise the size is correct. And upon a close examination, you can the physical difference between the two - subtle but enough to apply pressure to the toe to cause pain. So a heads up on this potential issue.

I like the traction the sole provides. I like how Columbia has designed the omni-heat system to work with my body heat . I like how the boots look on my feet. Ok, I hate to admit that I am old and have lost some strength but that is the truth. I just need to work on tying the laces tighter, but the speed lace feature helps in that regard.

Needed a new pair of boots for working outside and on my vehicles. Picked these up and have been really happy with them! They're true to size, lightweight, sturdy have great grip. I only have two minor negatives, both of which are easily fixed. 1. They're not that warm in my opinion, but a decent pair of thick hiking socks solves this. 2. I didn't like how the laces went through the tong of the boots, it made tightening them properly more difficult but I just pulled the laces out of the tab and they're super easy to do now. Would definitely recommend these to anyone!

Bought these for my husband for hiking trips and he’s been using them as his every day work boots because he loves them so much. He has chronic pain in his heel but these are actually comfortable for him. The soles are extremely sturdy and durable. Fit is true to size. Would definitely buy again and probably will in another color.

I love the ankle support, cushioning, and warmth of these boots. However, the most important factor for me is value. everything shines about these boots, the waterproofing too! But, the soles are wearing out so fast! They will be spent before the year is up after about 3 months of wearing daily.
