I've hiked nearly 50 miles in these boots over the last two months, and I can't say enough good things. From the flat and muddy trails of RI, to the steep rocky mountain trails of the White Mountains in NH, these have not let me down. I always have good grip, I don't need to worry about my feet getting wet, and they still look practically new (albeit a bit dirty in the photos). The soles and all of the materials have been holding up great with very little signs of wear. I expect these boots to last me a very long time. Most importantly, the comfort. For reference, I'm 5'10", 150lbs, and wear a size 9.5. I have a relatively narrow foot. These boots felt pretty comfortable to me straight out of the box, and now that they're well broken in, I barely even notice that they're on my feet, even after a long 5+ mile hike. Perfect fit. I like them so much that I already bought a second pair to keep on hand for when these eventually wear out. Overall, for around $50-$60, I couldn't ask for a better boot. Amazing value. Can't recommend them enough.

I took a star off my review because the first pair had a minor cosmetic defect in the rubber molding and my replacement took another five days to receive where in my opinion I would think you would expedite the shipping speed for the inconvenience. Fortunately my replacement was in better shape. These boots are super light weight and really didn't need any breaking in. I haven't done any hiking yet, just pavement excursions to the supermarket. They handle weight pretty good with me carrying four gallons of water and some groceries in my backpack for a mile or so. Haven't tried them in wet weather so I can't tell you how waterproof they are. They seem well made, only time will tell on how they hold up. They do feel really comfortable on my feet and I hope I continue to enjoy wearing them.

I should have listened to the other reviews. I have always worn size 13. I bought this item in size 13. Too snug. I returned and bought size 14. Buy one size up from what you're used to. Coming back 6 months later. These are sturdy yet comfortable. Waterproof. Hiking and yard work. I recommend.

I used to think highly of Columbia but the quality of their products has diminished. I had a previous pair similar to these from 15 years ago and around the ankle felt thick and supportive and the toe box felt wide. Not these, these were the same size and felt way too narrow and the material too thin. The insole also offered no support. I felt the quality of these was diminished although they are nice to the eye unfortunately they are not comfortable. At least for me any way.
