Columbia Hammock 1 Person is very comfortable and lightweight with long straps. I bought it as a bargain for $20. I wish I had bought more. It seems to be sturdy, but I have not used it long enough to check.

I tried wise owl and Eno but this Columbia is made with a less plastic feeling material. Other two-tone hammocks leave me lying on a seem but not this one. According to specs this should be nine inches shorter than the other nine footers but I didn't see a difference. Not as comfy as an eleven footer but still comfy.

This is a simple camping style hammock. It is very light weight, so easy to carry. It is made of ripstock fabric, like parachute fabric, so while light, it is also very strong. A small tear is not going to spread and have you suddenly crashing to the ground. The carabiners are solid as are the nylon straps to hook to trees or to a hammock stand. When you have finished your hammock nap, the whole thing folds easily back into the included carrying/storage bag. The 20 ounce weight of the whole thing adds little weight to your backpacking load. Highly recommend.

One night, I had left some snacks in the hammock's storage compartment, thinking they would be safe until the morning. Little did I know, a curious raccoon had caught wind of my stash and decided to investigate. The next morning, I found the hammock in disarray and my snacks missing. Upon closer inspection, I noticed muddy paw prints and bite marks on the storage compartment. While I was disappointed about losing my snacks, I couldn't help but laugh at the image of a raccoon sneaking around in my hammock. Despite the raccoon incident, I still love my Columbia hammock and can't wait to use it on my next outdoor adventure. Just make sure to keep your snacks out of reach from any furry critters!

Small. I’m 5 ft 4 inches & fit but taller person could not lie down with feet out. I love this hammock but I changed my review because the cords that attach to the carabiner that attaches to the tree straps, are not knotted tightly enough! One came undone when I sat in it & I fell. Luckily I didn’t break my back or hip. Check the knots!! And Colombia, please change the design or have the knots factory tightened & fuses together. Also longer straps would be really helpful!!! They’re pretty short
