Description

Hand Boilers are looped in the twisted glass sculptures containing a liquid that will "boil" as heat is transferred from your bare hand. Simply hold the large bulb end on the bottom in the palm of your hand and within minutes, your body heat from your hand will cause the liquid to rise. Once out of your hands, it takes a few minutes for the liquid to cool down. Pretty fascinating science toy and an excellent demonstration of energy transfer.

These things are fun. However, some shapes are cooler than others. The description said you'd get the purple and green one. I DID receive one with purple liquid and one with great, but they were NOT the purple and green ones shown on the site. The shapes shown for those colors are thebones we wanted - we received the other shapes instead. Tried to contact seller, but it goes to Amazon service, however because it is glass and has liquid it is not returnable. I feel like I did not get the items as described. The product is high quality and fun to mess around with. The alchohol inside is watered down, so it all dosnt boil, and the thin tubes prevent it from leaving the top easily in my green boiler

Works as stated, but the glass is much thinner than I realized. I was hoping to keep one at school for my middle schoolers, but they would break too easily.

Ordered the purple and green hand boilers; the green was broken when it arrived, and the liquid in the purple was closer to red than it was to purple. Had owned one of these many years ago and the glass was much better than these. Wouldn't recommend these for children as they will probably break fairly easily. ... show more
