I didn’t buy this item. It was given to me so that I could give my non biased opinion. First impressions It arrived in a box. I was expecting a long package. It had to be assembled. All tools that were necessary are included. It was put together in minutes It is extremely sturdy and will take a lot of normal use. It will probable last four or six rounds in a rake fight. The tubes that make up the handle are thin walled pipe. Probably to keep the weight down. But without taking a sharp blow or being crushed they are very rigid. The paint job is very good I don’t see this corroding unless left in the elements for months. So even if you treat your garden tools like (sugar honey ice tea) it will last more than long enough to worth its price. I only think that the width of the rake could be a little broader Of course if you a small yard or a lot of detail work then hey this is for you. ... show more

For me, this rake has nothing but positives. It came in parts, something that always makes me groan, but I was actually surprised at how easy it was by studying the directions as I want. (So fellow non-DIYers, take heart; you may trust me when I say it is easy.) The pipes that make up the handle feel very strong. Of course, I don't have much experience with yard maintenance tools but I feel absolutely confident in saying that this rake will do everything I need it to do. I've already used it three times, once on the small lawn and twice on the mulched areas and it handled both like a champion. The teeth are a firm metal that I assume will loosen up a bit over time but even new and somewhat stiff they handled the raking easily, moving the mulch into a more even spread over the side and back yards. They gathered the bark and leaves that had blown onto the lawn into a nice pile without trouble. This rake is going to work well for me. This is a nice medium-sized rake. I have a plastic one that has a wider base and a different metal one with a small base, and this is right in the middle. Time will tell if the metal blades bend a lot with long-term use, but in my first trial in the yard it held up nicely. There is one bolt/nut needed to attach the blade assembly to the first unit in the configurable handle, but it's easy to do and tools are actually included for the job. The rest of the handle can be assembled to a short/medium/long choice of lengths, and I can see opportunities to use each different length. Even though the handle is in multiple pieces which means chances for things to go wrong, it feels sturdy. Nice rake, and I'll update this review if it has problems throughout the fall. ... show more

This is a very sturdy, well made rake that is easy to put together. The metal tines are strong enough to handle large quantities of leaves, acorns and twigs at a time without fear of the tines breaking off. The handle also feels sturdy, and can be used as either a 30" or 61" handle. I expect that this rake will last for many years to come. ... show more

This rake is good for my daily leave raking workout.. It is on the heavier side but I don't mind. It works good. Like with every rake the leaves get stuck between the fingers.

Started cleaning up my yard today... - Easy to put together. - If you leave it outside in the heat (Texas heat) the material of the rake will oblige and heat up right along with the outside temp, so just be sure to keep it the garage or something - It does rake, however everything raked up gets caught in the rake. So, you have half a pile of leaves on the ground and the half stuck in the rake, you're doing more clearing of the rake than raking I feel. All in all, it will get the job done. It's a decent rake. Pay attention to the size of your yard, vs the rake's size bc it's on the smaller side. Wished the yellow pieces along the pole of the rake where longer to accommodate your grip to keep from burning your hands. Decent rake ... show more
