I was skeptical - I’ve only ever used hard sided barrels that attach to a downspout so this was a pleasant surprise! Delivered as stated when ordered, very easy to set up, functions exactly as described. Spigots are plastic but work well and feel sturdy enough for what they are but I think they could be changed out for metal if desired. The seams feel sturdy, time will tell whether or not they split. The legs / feet might be a bit dainty for longer term full weight, don’t know yet, I always use a paver under them. I added mosquito cloth because of where we live. Two things I didn’t expect: 1. The zipper top makes it very easy to access water with a can / bucket. 2. Very portable. I bought 2 and put one where I intend to leave it. It fills continuously for ongoing watering needs in the garden sections closest to where it sits. The capacity has been more than adequate so far but I’ll know better in July /Aug when rains become few and far between. The second one I move around my garden to reposition it where and when I need it. This lets it partially fill and it’s easy to run solar timed watering devices from it. It stays full enough to be anchored in our harsh winds and meet the watering needs of that garden section but not too heavy to move to a different section when the current beds are done and new ones are coming on, which I couldn’t do with barrels connected to a downspout. It will be easy to fold up and store in the off season. Works for me - possibly others might also enjoy this versatility. Pleased with this purchase and I feel it’s a good value for the money. May consider buying more after I watch these perform for a few seasons.

I have yet to collect any rain in it but it was very easy to put together and the vinyl seems very sturdy. Has an overflow valve at the top, a spigot you can use to fill a pail and a valve at the very bottom so you can empty it fully if you want. Very nice, excited for the first rain!

Been using this product for a month now and I’m disappointed. Bought to have a smaller barrel for use inside my garden, I have other larger rain barrels. The set up was very easy and I use it often but early on I noticed slime build up the walls of the barrel and now a foul smell. In going through the FAQ, I see they are aware of this issue. Im going to return but I don’t need a rain barrel that I have to constantly clean.

Price is what drew me in, ability to collapse down for winter as well. However, the lower spigot leaks around the seal, not a lot but enough that it’s irritating knowing it likely won’t last long. In addition, neither spigot fits a hose. So any reclaimed water you’ll need a bucket for which eliminates use of that lower spigot. Hoping I get one spring/summer/fall season out of this and next year I will simply try a more traditional barrel type.
