There are 5 small magnets in the tray. It's not like the whole thing is magnetic. Doesn't really affect the product but I think it's good to have that visualization.

For three containers with magnets that are equivalent to refrigerator magnets, they're not bad, they stick to flat surfaces fairly well, but any inclination of a curve or no direct contact and they aren't holding up.

You will never have to worry about spilling or losing your bolts, screws, or anything else that is small. The magnetic bowl keeps everything secure! Great item! Small but very useful. Easy to store and use. Looks nice as the colors help you to keep items separate.

I gave two sets of these to my husband as gifts. He loves them! He knew immediately where he would keep them and the uses he had for them. He likes the different colours, as well, so he can colour-code them for certain projects. He found nothing negative about them and is very happy with them.
