There are 5 small magnets in the tray. It's not like the whole thing is magnetic. Doesn't really affect the product but I think it's good to have that visualization.

As stated in the header the Item looks and feels great BUT the biggest issue is that instead of the entire square bottom being a solid one-piece magnet, there are 5 little 10mm diameter round magnets inside of the vinyl/rubber coating and the magnets are very weak! I usually put and keep my magnetic bowls on the inside garage door as it is a metal garage door and all my other magnetic parts bowels that have solid one-piece magnets on them hold onto the garage door so strong that I really have to pull hard to get them off the door BUT these are weak and just barely hold themselves onto the metal door!
