The chair takes a considerable amount of effort to open and close - maybe it'll break in over time. Arm pads are flimsy. Otherwise, it's a well made, sturdy and comfortable chair.

I have switched from "bucket" style folding chairs to this type. It is much easier to get in and out of, especially since I had both hips replaced. The bucket style positions your knees above your waist while sitting, a big no-no for those who have had hip replacement surgery. Even for younger more agile people, this chair is just simply more comfortable, the arm rests are at the correct height and the folding table is very convenient. For the price, this is a STURDY camp chair!! Not a lightweight, but I have to carry it only as far as the back porch; I bring it in to avoid letting it become a home for Florida insect life. Takes a little effort to open and close, but it's not actually difficult. (Press down on each side of the seat to open, pull up to close.) And the tray does stay up with items on it, contrary to what someone else wrote - but you have to make sure the bracing underneath is fully open. It's much more comfortable than a different style chair I've had for years that is reminiscent of a butterfly chair. Wish it had a storage bag or net, but overall a great purchase! ... show more

I bought these chairs for my son for his birthday. He wantd better chairs for camping and genreal use. They were shipped both (I bought two) in one box and arrived in excellent conditon. They were exactly as advertised. They have a sturdy, easily foldable frame. We loved the side table which folds down and includeds a cup/can holder and room to place other items. There are many ways I know he will use these chairs and being made so well they will last a long time. AND they are a Coleman product which I failed notice before I ordered.
