However, I recently bought the YETI Trailhead Collapsible Camp Chair in Charcoal, and I must say, it has completely changed my perspective on what a camping chair can be. Chair was definitely expensive. But totally worth the money. Starting with the carrying case. It is very nice. It is a little oversized to make putting the chair away easier. Has two straps to wear like a backpack to free up your hands if your hauling things. The chair is extremely well made and is one of the most comfortable things, only second to my couch. To unfold/fold, there are 3 levers. One at each armrest. I do the back first and then the armrests. Super easy to fold and it self compacts itself so no extra folding and pushing like I have with other manufacturers. If money isn’t a problem, I would definitely say get these chairs. Great buy!

You pay for what you get. I paid $300 for this chair. That is an insane amount of money for a folding chair. The chair hold firmly together. I am nearly 300 lbs and I have no concern about this chair failing. It comes with a backpack bag. Getting the chair in the bag is not always quick and easy but once the chair is in the bag, it is easy to carry around. The chair has to locking systems to hold it firmly in place. The first, behind the chair's backing you press down and lock the back of the chair. The second, you press the arms down simultaneously and this locks the legs into place. To release, you pull up on the backing of the chair lock using the handle. To unlock the legs, you press the release buttons on the handles. It's pretty easy once you see it from a video or try it a few times. It has a holder for a drink which functions nicely for holding a phone too. The quality is high-end. This is an excellent chair. I did not want to spend so much on a chair but I figured, if it lasts 3x longer than cheaper ones, is super comfortable (doesn't sink in the seating), and will endure for years to come, then it's an investment I'm willing to make. Yeti does price gauge a lot. The Yeti products are high-end but border on absurd and greedy IMHO. Enjoy the chair.

I though wife was crazy when she bought these. Chairs that cost this much?? Sit in it! I have been and everyone else that does, doesn't not want to get out.. Very stable, quality construction. They are a bit bigger than some of the others out there when your store them in their bags. Back support is GREAT! Worth every dime. Wish there were more items like our YETI Coolers and Chairs. QUALITY company and products don't ever accept less in your company.

Review update: I bought this back in August of 2020, five years later it still looks brand new even after continuous use, at sporting events, outdoor concerts, hikes to secluded spots, use on the boat, on a rocky beach, this chair is great…Initial cost was $300, but divide that by 5 years we are talking $60 a year, well worth it and I think I could get another 5 years out of it. My sister bought a few for her in-laws and they love them too. Still wish there was a second cup holder but I have gotten away with using my Yeti Sling over the arm of the chair. Original Review: I bought this because I have back issues as and issues with sciatica, and the camp chair I had was making both conditions worse. It was also difficult to get out of because of the lack of supportive arms. I had tried out many outdoor collapsible chairs over several months and I knew I wanted sturdy arms and a chair that did not take up much room in my small SUV when it was packed with camping, beach, and/or hiking gear. I bought this chair to try it out, I have many YETI products, I know they are expensive but they usually are worth it. I figured if I did not like it I could return it no problem, which definitely was what I was going to do not wanting to spend $300 for a chair. Then it arrived, I tried it out and I was sold it was definitely not being returned. I have taken it on many excursions since. It is stable on rocky terrain, sturdy in beach sand compact enough to keep in my SUV for outdoor sports and music/food events given this time of COVID. It is great to be able to be a spectator while still social distancing. The chair is comfortable not causing pressure points and easy to get out of, however I do think that it should have two cup holders. It would be nice to have a small table but that might be a hinderance in packability.

Yeah, it's an expensive camping chair. But if you are like me, you've spent far more already on 6 or 7 camping chairs that might not have made it through even one season. This thing is very solid, very comfortable, easy to open and close ( I've done the olympic hammer throw on more than a few cheap camping chairs simply because they were hard to close. ) This chair is a very high quality camping chair that will last season after season. Even the bag it comes with is a thousand times better than those practically disposable ones the cheap chairs come in. This one is thick and sturdy like a golf bag with strong zippers, straps, material, stitching etc. It will last as long as the chair does. So if you want an expensive camping chair that will very likely be the last one you need for 15 years, this is it.

Yep, it was expensive, but it is easy to set-up and break-down, rock-solid, and very comfortable - and I am a big guy - 6' - 260-lbs. I bought this chair to carry out onto the paved jetties and fishing piers where I fish in Port Aransas, TX - I travel/fish light but I am old and I need to sit for a minute every once in a while so I bought this chair to take along with me. Perfect chair for what I need!
