This cooler works perfectly for keeping food cold on a picnic or camping trip. Easy to carry and a good size. I would have given it five stars, but the hinges are plastic, so I fully expect those to eventually break.

Very pleased with this product. Over the past few years we have had more power outages and have used an older Coleman ice chest for short-term (e.g 24 hour max) storage. A few weeks ago, during a prolonged heatwave (i.e., inside temps of about 90 F), we needed better cooling for our perishable food items. Thanks to Amazon, we received two of these coolers in about 36 hours. Excellent product. We found that if we kept the ice chests out of direct sun, the ice would last for about 40 hours. Even after the ice melted, the melt water temp stayed @ about 35 F. We never lost any food while using these items for an extended period of time. We also used our older Coleman at the same time. We lost a fridge while camping. This cooler is doing its job keeping everything cold. The ice doesn’t last four days like one of the reviews mentioned, but it does last 2 to 3 with a lot of water in the bottom. And that’s OK. I think it’s a perfect one for our needs.
