Had a Amazon Basics coffee maker and the rubber washer gave out. Bought this because it looked exactly like the mechanism in ours. Too tall. The rubber washer did work and we were able to fix it. Good product.

I received the replacement but the package had only one spring not 2 as was shown in the picture. There were no directions so by trial and error I got the tiny silicone part attached correctly. The spring has to go over the stem of the black piece, then with the spring depressed, pass the stem through the opening on the bottom outside of the brew basket. Keeping the spring depressed and pushed in from the outside, stretch the tiny silicone over the star shaped end of the stem, on the inside of the basket. Many people will toss their Hamilton coffee units out because the liquid is pouring out freely from the bottom of the basket flow stopper due to age or flow stopper spring is worn.. Such a simple and inexpensive repair is purchase these " basket flow stopper kits" Snap in and continue making coffee
