The finest of the mesh on this device works exceptionally well. I think it strains out more sediment than paper filters. For someone that's having one or two cups a day this is an ideal way and it saves putting more paper in the landfills.

This filter has been working fine for my pour over coffee needs but in the past month, the seam where the inside mesh meets has started to separate and now, the coffee grounds get stuck in the seam, making it an annoying task to clean. I’m determined to get the filter as clean as possible so it takes me extra time and effort to fish all of the granules out from under the seam. Overall, this filter results in a faster drip than my Bodum filter, but it’s not the end of the world. The separating seam, however, will end me if I don’t replace it. Sad to have to decommission this one only after 2 months of use.

When Covid hit they took away our coffee pot at work. I just can’t function early in the morning without my cup of Joe and I’m not an early bird. I seem to remember back in the day my mom had a cone filter thing that sat on top of cups that she made coffee in. So I looked things up and found this. It works great! Read the tips, you really do have to pour the water in very slowly or the grounds float up and coat the sides and the coffee is weaker. But if you pour a little water at a time it’s an amazing cup of coffee. I’m very impressed overall the two different metal strainers don’t allow even fine grounds through. Easily rinsed out. I’ve been down sizing and I may get rid of my coffee maker and just keep this. It’s portable and suitable for camping also. Great find!

Just made a wooden pour over coffee stand from a woodworking book. Tried to find a way to finish the top without using a funnel and paper filters. I loved the look of the wood, but looked tacky with a plastic funnel and paper filters. I found this product and decided even for looks it was worth it. Arrived quickly and looks great. I decided to try it out with loose tea and was perfect. Steeped enough but not too the point of bitter. Tried coffee in the morning and rivals a French press on convenience and taste. Extracts a strong coffee and works with a medium course, if that is how you like it. Very pleased and highly recommend, not just for looks either.

Not happy with product at all!! When you pour the hot water over the coffee it flows so fast that there is no flavor in the coffee. I am planning on returning the filter. Even with a paper filter it flows to fast. I would not recommend this product to anyone!
