I was happy with the packaging of the product. There were no dents or damage to the paint in the shipping process. The directions were clear and the assembly process was fairly simple. The only complaints I have are that there were not enough washers included, and some of the holes did not line up... It took a bit of wrestling to get some of the bolts in and then they were crooked because of the strain on them. However, once it’s set up, it’s very sturdy and looks great. I was concerned that it would be creaky being a metal frame, but So far there isn’t any creaking when my boys climb up and down. I love how modern it looks. I’d definitely buy it again. ... show more

The directions were easy to follow. All pieces fit together without a hitch. The design of this bunk is very supportive for the weight of two adults. It didn't take us that long to put it together. Very pleased with this purchase.

    • Amazing stylish Bunk bed!
I've had my eye on this one for > 2 years when it was closer to $500 and I have watched the price steadily go up over the past couple of years, unfortunately..However, it is well worth it if you can get it for a decent enough price like I did. This thing feels built like a tank when completed. Solid and contemporary are the words that come to mind. But, it does take some patience and time to build (allocate a good few hours), especially if you are working alone like I was. Everything locks in nicely and the instructions are adequate/clear enough. I took the advice of another reviewer and bought some 1/4 Hex bolts from Home Depot, as the included Allen screws were thought to be of lower quality by some earlier reviewers. While the Hex bolts may be a lot easier on the hand, especially with a Socket wrench, the included Allen screws were actually pretty decent too and I had no problems with stripping of the screws. I had to used some of the Allen screws when the Hex bolts wouldn't align properly in a couple of slots, which brings me to my most important word of caution - Don't be tempted to tighten everything to the max in the first go around itself. Get all your Allen screws (or Hex bolts) in place, partially screwed in, before you literally turn the screws on! This way you won't have any problems whatsoever with misalignment. If you follow these tips and instructions well, your setup and construction will be a breeze. Enjoy!! ... show more
