Bought this because I needed to fill a hole in my yard. I dug up a plant to move it. That action left a decent size hole. This product worked great. Weeks after filling it the dirty has not sunk in or required more to be added. Will buy again if needed.

I have the impression that this is nothing but WOOD CHIPS and manure. As soon as it gets wet, whatever else is in it disappears and you are left with nothing but WOOD CHIPS! The Amazon description reads: “Made from peat and composted farm manures. Nothing else has been added to provide extra bulk/weight.” I would consider WOOD CHIPS as something “added to provide extra bulk/weight.” Now, to be fair, if you look on the back of the sack, it does say in extremely small letters that it contains “aged bark.” I went by the Amazon description to make my purchase, not having looked at the back of the sack and expecting the Amazon description to be accurate, which it was not. I bought four sacks. If I had known that it was filled with WOOD CHIPS, I would not have bought it, as that is all you are left with once it gets wet! Now I will have to buy something else in order to give my grass seed something to hold on to, as it will not hold on to WOOD CHIPS! I gave two stars instead of one because (1) it does look nice when you first spread it out and (2) the sacks come packaged in their own cartons. The problem is that when it gets wet, you are left with nothing but WOOD CHIPS!
