  • Smooth, well balanced
Style: 2" Dia, 1/2 Shank, 4 Wings
This is used with a home-built, custom CNC machine. I have only used this bit on pine so far, but it has performed well; the finished project was very smooth and needed only minimal sanding. It is well-balanced with no vibrations or other extraneous motion. I am pleased.

  • Thick carbide.
Style: 2" Dia, 1/2 Shank, 4 Wings
Solid shank on this one, as it weighs a bit despite its relatively small size. For a 1/2" bit I found it surprisingly hefty. The shank is straight with a medium finish. The body is coated in a black coating to protect against rust. On a bit of this sort I often find the body finish to be unnecessary as you'll wear the carbide far in advance of rusting out the bit. Carbide cutters are welded to the body. Edges are uniformly sharp, a couple of small defects on the lower corners (which won't matter if you are using it for surfacing, but if you are using it for rabbeting you might notice). Any other issues in the photos are courtesy of the anti-rust coating. Interestingly, the cutters are arched up towards the perimeter. They aren't flat but have a slight rise. I have to use it to see how this works out in practice. ... show more

  • Very nice router bit
Style: 2" Dia, 1/2 Shank, 4 Wings
I use this with a hand held router in a jig I made. Works great for flattening boards - things like cutting boards if you are into that. Very sharp, leaves clean cuts.

  • Works decent- you get what you pay for
Style: 1" Dia, 1/4 Shank, 3 Wings
I have a Onefinity CNC and used this bit with my Makita router to flatten a spoil board made from MDF. The bit did a fairly good job of flattening the spoil board but shows minor signs of use. I suspect the quality of the carbide is lesser than bits made by Whiteside, Amana, Freud, etc. It will do the job, but it seems to be more of a "consumable" rather than a long-lasting router bit. ... show more

  • Excellent!
Style: 1" Dia, 1/4 Shank, 3 Wings
This is great quality, and did excellently on a moulding project I was doing. Love it!

  • Sharp and well balanced
Style: 1" Dia, 1/4 Shank, 3 Wings
It's a good basic bit. The edges are very sharp and the teeth are deep. The finish is good as well. It spins up without wobbles. It's a fine bit for the money.

  • So far, so good
Style: 1" Dia, 1/4 Shank, 3 Wings
Not much to go wrong here; 3 wings, sharp out of the box, no wax coating to peel off. Pretty flat cuts.

  • Well balanced and accurate router bit
Style: 2" Dia, 1/2 Shank, 4 Wings
I got this for a CNC router, primarily for cutting 3D miters with a 3D toolpath. The larger diameter your router bit is, the further you can step over without creating scallops, which means faster run times and smoother results from my 3D toolpaths. I do rough out the 3D miters with a hogger router bit first, and then I'm using this bit for a finishing operation. I run this at 10,000RPM on my HSD spindle and it runs nice and smooth, no detectable vibration at all. The diameter is also very accurate, as accurate as I can measure with a caliper, and certainly good enough for woodworking. My 3D miters come out very smooth with undetectable scallops and without an excessive amount of 3D passes, thanks to the 2" diameter. I am very happy with the quality of this router bit and it's really working well for me. ... show more
