Features

  • 2-WING INSERT CNC ROUTER BIT: Shank: 1/4"; Cut Diameter: 1-1/2" ; Carbide Inserts: 12*12mm. 2-wing design, resulting in a more balanced tool while running.
  • INDUSTRIAL GRADE CNC WOOD ROUTER BIT: Super-strength steel body with anti kickback design, 2 cutting blades.
  • COST-EFFECTIVE INSERT BIT: The surfacing router bit utilizes 4-sided solid carbide inserts. All 4 edges of carbide inserts can be used, use a screwdriver to make other blade edge outside. • Use on CNC and other automatic routers as well as hand-held and table-mounted portable routers. Such as woodworking engraving machine, trimming machine, etc.

  • Been machining for 10 years
Naturally when you’ve been machining for 10 years you think you know better than others, I read the reviews and thought they were just amateurs with the wrong speeds and feeds. So over the period of my use of the surface bit I started way way easy and slowly picked up doc and feeds. Today after running it at these speeds for a few projects and grabbing just flipped the edges of the inserts a few jobs back the tool bent over. I can now say for sure they are garbage and not worth the money. I’m so disappointed because the return windows just closed. ... show more

  • Works great!
Needed to surface my waste board. I had an older bit I had used once. It did a terrible job. Once I shaped them out with the new bit. It was a night and day difference.

  • Great bit, if you have the right router.
The bit worked great, right until it warped. I have an older craftsman router and the bit would only go in the collet until about 3-4 mm of the shaft below the "insert in router to the line" line was still sticking out . I figured that would be sufficient if I was careful with the amount of pressure I put on the bit. I was wrong. It worked better than any other router I've used, right up until I pushed it too fast (was working with a small oak slab, so that did not help). The shaft warped a bit and developed a distinct vibration, becoming unsafe. I put it in a modern trim router where I could get it to the "insert in router to the line" line and tightening it. The vibration went away, but the bit was then too short to do what I needed. So, if you have an old Craftsman An likely other brands), this bit is not for you. A slightly shorter shank would make this bit MUCH better. ... show more

  • works well
I'm making a small table from a piece of pine. Made a router sled and with this bit it was a quick and easy job.

  • The shank bent after a few uses!
Surfacing bit worked wonderfully until it didn't. Only used it a few times. I used it on a sled router. The bend was in the collet when I shut the router off. Was disappointed cause I wasn't cutting deep at all. Just the top. So, the shank is very weak and it bent. I was a little shocked. Expected it to last a lot longer. Think I'll get a 1/2" instead of the 1/4". Need something sturdier/better quality I suppose. ... show more

  • Not for the end grain
It didn't take a long time to find out it is not for the end grain flattening.
