  • Great small tent - understand the limits.
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
Tent is just big enough for me at 6ft with a bag at my feet. Small and lightweight easily fits onto my scooter for trips. The tent does not have a very durable bottom and will need a ground tarp under it. I paired it with the ground tarp from Clostnature and its the right size. Without the rainfly it has very good airflow and stays cool on hot nights. Once the rainfly is added, it has vents that can be propped open to allow for more airflow without allowing water in but it stays quite warm in the tent. A nice thing is, with the fly on you get a little area to store gear under the fly by the door so you can give some cover to smaller items. It is not a tent I would want to use under constant downpour but it stood up well to 5 hours of constant rain. It can easily be setup in a garage to dry out quick as the material is fast drying. I used some spray on water resistance solution to help water run off since I have purchased and it is still going strong after 15 uses. ... show more

  • Light, Fast, Well Made
Color: Orange Size: 1 Person
Perfect for Moto or Bicycle touring. I ordered this tent two days before a trip and didn't even open or set it up before I packed it in my bag. No problem, it takes about two minutes to set up, had just enough room to stretch out inside (5'10") and some space for gear you wish to keep inside. There is enough room under the rain fly to keep additional items outside the sleeping space but still protected from rain. While I didn't get rain during my three day Florida moto-camping adventure (Blackwater State Forest and vicinity), it was quite cold. Night time temps in the upper 30's with pretty high humidity. In the morning I found some condensation inside the tent. While waiting for water to boil, I un-staked the tent, picked it up and shook out the dirt and water, 30 minutes in the sun and it was dry. One of the best features was that I was easily able to pack it back in to the supplied carry case. This tent does not have a water proof "tub" type floor so if you expect rain, erect on some high ground to avoid seepage underneath. Overall, very pleased with ease of set up, stability and pack size. Highly recommend for solo camping whether on foot or on wheels. ... show more

  • So far so good….(update after using it in the field)
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
I just got this tent today and I bought it for a Bushcraft class I’m going to be taking. So I’m no stranger to primitive camping and light weight backpacking. In fact, I’m kind of a gear freak. That said I set it up, but I haven’t actually used it yet. So I’m going off first impressions and I’ll update this once I field test this tent. I bought this tent because it’s similar to the Alps Lynx-1 tent, but at the time I bought it $20-$30 cheaper, with similar reviews. So the tent goes up easy. Set up is straightforward and common sense. My first time setting it up with no instructions took about 3 minutes without even trying to rush. I’m 5’9” and bounce between 195-200lbs. That said, there’s plenty of room for a guy my size to sleep and even sit up in there. It does very much resemble the Lynx-1. The connection for the pole are different than the Lynx-1, but still very straightforward. The tent is free standing and being a minimalist, I only used a total of 4 tent stakes. One on each corner to hold it down, one for the vestibule (which is definitely roomy enough for a pack to be stored in), and one for the back side of the rain fly. What I didn’t like is that I thought I was buying a brand new tent, but this tent has definitely been used. The poles showed signs of wear on them and the floor of the tent had dead bugs and dried grass. This is why I gave the three stars. The tent seems functional enough to me, but when I’m told I’m buying a new item, and pay for a new item, that’s what I expect to get. UPDATE AFTER FIELD TESTING: Ok, so I got a chance to use this tent in the field in Ohio, in early March. I put the tent up in under 3 minutes in the field (after practicing prior to the trip) in the rain with zero issues. The tent stood up strong on a hill top through 12 hours of hard rain. When I went to get in it at night I was pleasantly surprised to find the inside bone dry. After the rain stopped that night there were wind gusts up to 40 mph. There were times I thought the poles were going to snap from the wind, but they did not. Aside from sleeping in it in a hurricane, I’m not sure it could have had a more solid field test. This tent is solid! I would have no issues recommending it to anyone in the future. ... show more

  • Worked Great in Boundary Waters
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
I bought this tent for a 10 night canoe trek in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota. The tent worked great. It was easy to set up and take down every day and fit back nicely in its storage bag. The bag was compact but still had room for a plastic sheet that I used as a tent base. The total weight was less than 4 lbs which was important during our portages. The tent remained dry through several heavy rain storms. I am 5’8” and I found the size just about right for a one person tent. I still had room to store some gear and I had enough space to sit up and change clothes. I don’t think the tent would be suitable for anyone over 6’. Overall I am very pleased with this tent and consider it a great value. I expect to get a lot more use out of it. I saw another reviewer was puzzled about the extra short piece of tube. That tube is for an emergency joint repair in case one of the tent pole joints failed, hopefully you will never need it. ... show more

  • Great tent
Color: Green Size: 4 Person
Just got back from a 15 day road trip and used this for 12 of the nights. The setup and breakdown were easy, zero leaks inside and the outside dried from the rain quickly. No issues with the zippers and no tears from the rough ground.

  • Very easy to build alone
Color: Orange Size: 1 Person
Very promising so far. I have not yet tested it in an actual camping setting, but I built it in the living room. Very easy to build alone. I can comfortably sit up straight in the tent as well (5"3). Very much long enough for someone my height, plenty of room for both sleeping and backpacks etc. Very lightweight, so it may fly away if you don't have anything weighing it down. ... show more

  • Great budget bikepacking option
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
While not 'ultra-light' compared the big name, big $$ options, it's light enough for a bikepacking. It packs/crushes down small enough to fit in my Revelate Sweet Roll (L) along with my sleeping bag and sleeping pad and all fit on my drop bars (about 17") comfortably. (Note: I will be carrying the poles and stakes elsewhere.) Setup is super easy, and only takes a few minutes. Size is perfect for me. I'm 5'10" 170lbs, and stretched out, my head and feet just miss hitting the walls at the head & foot of the tent. Laying in a more natural sleeping position leaves plenty of room. I'm a short-legged/long torso guy and sitting up, my head does hit the top netting a bit... but for everything else this tent is, I can live with that. The width is perfect too, leaving plenty of room to roll over and change positions and/or store a small bag or two inside. Plenty of room to comfortably change clothes. The vestibule is decent, but not huge. Shoes and a backpack, or a few bikepacking bags will fit and keep them out of the rain when it's fully closed. However, the vestibule won't offer much protection for you if you plan to sit partially inside the tent while cooking outside, for example. There are 2 storage nets built-in at the head-end, plus a 3rd larger one that clips to the top near the foot-end. All are very convenient to store phone, wallet, head torch, etc. I really like that the bathtub and additional ripstop material extends pretty high all around. Will work great for hot, wet nights using a separate tarp higher overhead instead of the rainfly (for better ventilation) to prevent splashing inside. I decided to give this a shot after trying an OR Helium Bivy that turns out is not as waterproof as claimed. This tent passed the sprinkler/irrigation test this morning, so no doubt it will do fine in light-to-moderate rain. This is like a bivy, but a lot more versatile for the extra 1.5lbs it adds to the overall shelter weight compared to the Helium... and about 1/2 the price. Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Just enough room, packs down small, holds in heat
Color: Orange Size: 1 Person
After using a bivouac type one-man tent, this tent has just enough height to sit up in which is great for setting up just before laying down for the night, or first thing in the morning before emerging from a temporary cave to face the day. There is just enough width for my air mattress, and water bottle and other small stuff on one side. There is also enough room at the head for extras like hat, gloves, sweater caps, etc. I used this tent for bike packing. The poles fold up shorter than my biv one-man tent. So the tent fits better on my rear rack… it sits fully on the rack without hanging over. The overall narrow width makes it easy to put up the tent in the smallest of spaces which opens up more potential placements at camp sites. The ground tarped vestibule is decent sized to keep shoes, jackets, helmet, pannier dry on one half while maintaining an area to get out and stand up. I pack a 5-ft x 8-ft tarp… when folded in half fits pretty well in the covered vestibule area. Great to keep your feet clean and thus the tent, sleeping bag too. The first night I slept in it was warm, so with the tent fully zipped up I was too warm. The next night I slept with the fly unzipped and tied back as shown in the picture. It vented very well. When the temperatures drops, it will be nice to retain more heat zipped up. The fabric is also heavier than some similar tents, which likely adds to the heat retention (and durability). The heavier material is reflected in the weight. At 4-lbs, it’s no lightweight, but is reasonable for the durable fabric. Better IMO than super light, thin fabric. This really is a 3-4 season tent… will be great in the Pacific Northwest where it gets cold, but not frigid as long as I’m below the snow line. The tension straps work super slick. I attach the tie downs to the fly and leave them there, so I just put the loop around the stake, tension the line by sliding the plastic clip towards to tent and lock the cord into the clip. Done. When it comes time to pack up, I just pull the cord down. It unlocks, de tensions and that’s it. There storage pockets on the side and the one overhead is great to put a watch in, glasses, lights, phone, cyclo computer, charger, etc. All in all, it checks the boxes for what I need. ☑️ durable and warm ☑️ Packs down small ☑️ reasonably light weight ☑️ big enough, with minimal footprint area ☑️ perfect sized covered vestibule area ☑️ Inexpensive ( about 40% less than another tent I was considering which was a little lighter (less durable and true 3-season tent) I will have to see how it handles the rain. I do have a footprint for it from a different manufacturer. Fits perfectly and should protect against wet ground. So as long as the fly sheds water well, it should be cozy and dry. I’ll problem seal the seams and spray the fly. ... show more
