Bought two of these and a shoe organizer shelf to stack on top of each other to create a neat little “dresser” for my 8-year-old son’s room. I just needed some small storage for his underwear, socks, shorts, and hats (as I hang everything else up in his closet), and this fit the bill nicely. It’s lightweight, so it’s not sturdy by itself - you’ll have to anchor it to a wall (which the instructions clearly state to do). The drawers are not very large, but I’d already checked the dimensions before I bought them and I didn’t need them to be. It also wasn’t hard to put together and for the price, it’s honestly decent furniture. The color is a very dark brown, so if you’re looking for a more cherry-toned espresso, this is not it. It matches my son’s other furniture nicely, though, so I’m happy with it. ... show more

I definitely blame the seller for this awful experience and not closetmaid. I ordered new and was shipped one that had been opened and very poorly re-sealed, but I guess since the previous buyer clearly never constructed it the seller decided to try and pass it off as new. Problem is it was missing a lot of important hardware. No nails to attach the back piece, no screw covers, no dowels for stacking units, no little caps for the holes on top, and only two screws to attach the handles when four are required. I had to dig around my dad's toolshed to find two more screws that would work to attach the handles and was very lucky that I did. I had to use flat-headed thumb tacks to attach the back, but the back provides no structural integrity to the unit anyway so no real loss on that one. Since it didn't come with the screw covers all the screws are very noticeable, which kinda sucks aesthetically. I guess the previous buyer was smart enough to check for all the included parts and hardware before they tried to build it and sent it back when they saw how much was missing, but I was stupid enough to start the process and didn't notice all the missing parts until I'd already put the frame together. Also worth noting there is one part of the instructions where the picture is inaccurate and this led to a lot of confusion. When it says to attach the top piece A to the side piece C it shows a picture of piece B, which wouldn't make any sense because then the unfinished wood siding would be on the very top of the unit. Luckily I caught that mistake and built it correctly, but when you get to that step don't panic when it tries to tell you to do the wrong thing. The instructions are just stupid and very non-specific. Overall, definitely won't be buying another one of these. Now that it's built I feel like it's fairly sturdy, the drawers open well and it's a good size. But not worth all the trouble. ... show more

I love this lil thing. Its small, easy to hide and use. Very sturdy wood. Nice quality. Easy to assemble, although directions had to read many times lol im getting another as soon as i can make the space!

Original package was damage and retaped, it seems it was previously a return. The corners of the drawers were damaged because the corners of the box were damaged and broken. The drawers slide in and out smothly, I needed as emergency, so kept it.

this appears to have been opened before because the box was a mess and the material inside did not have any insulation between the parts so they were dirty and scratched up, one corner was cracked but not quite all the way thru, the backing is of course cheap cardboard and was not quite large enough so you were nailing on the very edge which meant some of the edges cracked because it is just cheap glue and sawdust, the instructions are a joke so if you're not good at improvising and fitting things together for yourself then don't bother. this thing was so bad that i should have sent it back but the hasssle of repackaging it in an already messed up box and driving to the nearest ups store was just an added expense to an already over priced peice of junk, i did finally manage to cobble it together and make it work but i would never buy another, when this falls apart which it inevitably will it will just get a quick trip to the dump. save your money and time and buy elsewhere. one star was given because i couldn't give zero which it deserves. ... show more

It takes 2 people to put this together because its a little Acquard to hang onto, and the directions were a little hard to figure out but thats all me. After its done, it looks very nice and works well. I just ordered a second one to put with the first one.

This is not worth the price. Came with corners dented on pieces. The ‘backing’ is thinner than cardboard. (I initially thought it was protective packaging for the rest of the pieces). You’re supposed to nail it on with 20 tiny little nails. Every part of this drawer got dented/gouged or started peeling during assembly. ... show more
