I got this light for video conferencing - because at my desktop location I am so backlit. For that it's been great. It seems really solid - the clamp allows flexibility for placement... and the clamp is solid enough to stay put. One thing I've discovered is that it's also handy as a temporary reading light if I need a little more light on a paper or book at my desk... just clamp it and bend it around. The two sets of differently colored LEDs and the two brightness switches (which feel really solid) allow for adjusting the light for preference. ... show more

This lamp may be small but the light on this is really bright. The clip on this does have padding to help protect the clip from damaging my desk or just anything I clip this too. Once it's clipped onto anything, that clip does not budge, at all. When you adjust the light, it's very movable and once you adjust it, the light stays in place. There are 2 different light settings on this but I found that the bright white has been helpful when applying makeup or even plucking my eyebrows. When using this light on my desk, I prefer using the warm white because it doesn't make whatever I'm writing on too bright. No matter where I put this light, it is really sturdy and easy to use. The media could not be loaded. This little light has been absolutely fantastic I have been using it since purchase which has been about six months so far. I do use it intermittently I do not use it all the time. I have used it for not only miniature painting but also lighting for WebCam when chatting with friends and other means of light around my workspace. If need be it is a very bright light and if you don’t need it to be bright at all you can have it dim you can also switch from cool lighting or warm lighting. The only thing I am moderately disappointed about is that I thought there was a magnifying glass part to this light and I was under that impression when I bought it. However that wasn’t the case when the package arrived and that’s the only thing I’m upset about but it isn’t worth docking the stars for. This is a great little light. It certainly keeps pace with higher end lights in so far as the output. I use this light for makeup application and will also use it for other beauty applications as well as reading. The clip opens a couple of inches so there is no problem with attachments.     • Light flickers in a distracting way for videoconferencing

There are essentially 2 sets of bulbs in the light, one set that in the blue hues (cooler) and the other in the yellow hues (warmer). In concept, it's great to be able to adjust your lighting. In execution with this lamp though, not always fully achieved. How ever the electrical wiring was designed in this unit, it differentially feeds power to the two bulbs, so often the light will flicker between being more cool or more warm. It's fine if you're not on a video call but it gets incredibly distracting when you are and you see your video image flickering between color spectrums onscreen. It's functional but not well made. This lamp began failing after just a couple months of very light use (approx 4 hours/week). features: There are two switches, each with 2 brightness levels - a switch for traditional "cold/white" LED light, and a switch for "warmer" traditional incandescent bulb light. It's not as bright as my old 7.5w florescent tube lamp, although it is more compact. quality/issues: After being used for just a couple hours a day, twice a week (during zoom meetings) this lamp began flickering as if the "white" switch is being turned off at random intervals.
