My skin was dry for most of my life, but started getting slightly oily during the warmer months in my late 20s. After I stopped breastfeeding my first child, my skin became dry and flaky again, acne-prone, and I developed eczema on my face. It was a total mess. This was recommended by my dermatologist because it's antibacterial while still hydrating and gentle. I was previously alternating between the CeraVe hydrating cleanser and PanOxyl for my acne. The PanOxyl was irritating my eczema and the CeraVe just wasn't very effective for my acne. This cleanser is the best of both worlds. I kind of didn't want to like it because it's a bit pricey and I stopped using it for a bit when my eczema finally cleared up and my skin went back to being normal to slightly oily. However, I really noticed a huge uptick in my acne flare-ups, so I ended up ordering a second bottle. The packaging is no frills and it's expensive for a cleanser, but it's really just the best for my troublesome skin. I use a small pump twice daily and oil cleanse to remove makeup before using this at night. The first bottle lasted me 3 months. I highly recommend trying this if you have acne, eczema, or weird skin issues.

This is an awesome product for anyone with dry, oily or blemished skin. About a year ago I developed a rash on my face with eventual eye swelling. I saw several specialists who couldn't determine the cause. But my dermatologist highly recommended I immediately switch to this face wash to see if it helps. I've been using this produced daily ever since, and my skin hasn't had a rash. I don't know if this is the reason, but it's a great product and I will continue using it. It doesn't remove all makeup, but it's gentle on my skin and a great facial cleanser. It's a little pricier than your typical face wash, but I'm happy with it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was looking for a face wash that I could use that wouldn't irritate my extremely sensitive skin. It was even more important as my daughter had brought impetigo home from school (thanks kiddo) which left the area around my nose even more sensitive and irritated than usual. So far this face wash has been a winner. It doesn't dry my skin out and also doesn't cause it to be red and blotchy the way that some do. As anyone with sensitive skin knows, YMMV, but overall this one has been great.
