I have clear yet very oily skin. This cleanser is effective in that it actually started to dry out my face but too much. I never have that problem. When I’d smile and laugh at work it felt like my forehead skin was going to tear. I’ve cut back on using it more than 3 times a week. I like it, it lathers nicely and seems to do a decent job removing makeup (foundation, not mascara). I also use Clinique’s toner afterward and then use a moisturizing gel. Additionally, the first bottle of this was sent to me in a box with other items we had ordered, however, the bottle itself was only packaged in an open small plastic bag, no original box or bubble wrap. The lid had popped off which made it near impossible to actually use as the plastic would no longer align properly. The packager had only placed one piece of brown paper in the big box. I complained to Amazon given the product was damaged and they were quick to send me a new bottle which I was thrilled about. Overall, decent product as Clinique always is.
