First I really like the color, a very nice black and a very nice black metal end cap with a large hoop to thread the rope to secure it around the tree limb or whatever you are trying to climb. The other end is finished with a crimped rubber cap and the whole rope is very thick with very many synthetic fibers tightly wound together in a spiraling weave. I could not find what the type of material used to make this rope is but I'm going to assume polyester rope material. It doesn't look like it would have a longevity problem because of it's sheer girth but it might not last forever if stored outside or used on a boat. Every time I see it I'm reminded of that scene in "The Princess Bride" where he's climbing up the cliffs before the swordfight scene. Iñigo would be pleased with this ropes overall aesthetic but I only got the 15 foot length one and not the 1,000 footer so I'll just be using it to climb up my rack station which it very easily loops over until I build a loop catch in the backyard which will let me climb higher. And I will say that if you can climb this rope then you're in shape. It is a great test of overall physical fitness and mental focus. Also good is the gloves that come with it and you should use them to prevent rope burn unless that is you want to know what it was like for Gen X-ers back in the day when you would find out the hard way what rope burn was in third grade gym class. But I digress back to this rope which I am very pleased with and I would recommend this one because the price is very fair considering it's quality craftmanship and utility.

We installed this climbing rope in our shop, where we have a 14 foot ceiling, and the 15 foot rope was the perfect length. It’s a strong and well made climbing rope, and I am so glad it came with gloves as the rope is too slippery without them. (My husband can technically climb bare handed but says it’s way more comfortable with the gloves.) The gloves fit all our hands well (middle school son with the smallest hands through my husband with the largest hands) and we have been sharing them and having family competitions to see who can climb the fastest or hang on the longest. We are very happy with this rope, and the exercise it provides!

I actually got it to use like a battle rope and it works for that so I'm happy. It's a nice thickness. What I mean by that is that it's not too small to grab comfortably. I have large hands and didn't find it annoying. You kind of need another bolt system to connect it though. It would be nice if it included that or some kind of heavy duty carabiner.

Installed it outdoors in an oak tree in the yard. The ten foot length was perfect for this. The rope is a high quality that will hold up over time. I installed it such that I can take it down after use - with some chain from the hardware store and a locking carabiner from my rock climbing days. The gloves are an added bonus although I haven't used them yet. Packaging was terrific as were the instructions. This is a company that seems to care about the getting the little things right - which is nice when you are hanging ten feet off the deck. Very happy.

This is a really nice climbing rope we got for our son to climb on to get in and out of his loft bedroom. He also has stairs but he is really into working out and this fits the bill perfectly. I think it was a great value for the money and very durable and functional. Great purchase.

I couldn't be more impressed with the effort put into making a durable, functional, and even stylish climbing rope. The uniform matte black color looks fantastic in our home gym, and the anchor and welds around it are professional quality. Most importantly the rope itself is outstanding for climbing. The thickness (1.5 inch), twist, and texture are all spot on, even for gloveless climbing. Overall this is a top notch rope that would be a great addition to a home or even professional gym.

This climbing rope is extremely heavy duty and very well-made. It has a good weight to it and does not feel cheap. It stores away nicely in the included that it comes with. It is easy to hang and hold my 180 pound weight without any problem.
