I tried to plug a cheap extension cord with a 2-prong plug into this cord, and it was very difficult even after lubing it with vaseline. The plugs on these cheap cords have double-layer, folded prongs, perhaps to allow the layers to be pried apart to fit more tightly into loose sockets. When I finally did get it plugged in (which might have damaged the contacts in the socket), it wouldn't go in all the way because the socket isn't deep enough. But I have a 2-prong adapter-plug that has shorter, thinner, single-layer prongs which are easy to plug all the way into the Clean Power cord, and the cheap cord plugs easily and completely into the adapter. It seems to me that Clean Power should warn us about this, to prevent us from potentially damaging the contacts on their cord. They do warn us not to use excessive force, but they should let us know that their cord isn't compatible with some common plugs, and why.

I had several black cords that I was able to hide by using these extension cords which matched the walls very well. They were hardly noticeable.

The extension cords has a nice soft feel of soft rubber, but is still sturdy and strong. The blinking red and blue lights are the main reason I purchased this block heater cord, and they work like a charm. The blinking lights can be seen easily from a distance. A nice added bonus feature is the double sided velcro strap that keeps the cord nicely bundled for storage. The receiver end has multiple outlets that has slide covers to keep them from icing up when outside being used. This is a great value and it was something that I couldn't not find locally in my area. Alaska tested and approved.
