This book is so helpful! I have a serious lack of motivation where cleaning is concerned but Melissa makes it so much easier. There is no filler crap in this book. The simple 3 step process includes identifying the most important areas that need attention, choosing the right tools, products and techniques for any situation and having a routine so you don't get behind. This book makes it easier to WANT to clean because doing it her way is faster, more efficient, and it generally makes more sense to clean this way. She even includes DIY cleaning solution recipes in this book that are natural and don't smell like chemicals (chemical smells give me migraines). It also helps with how to stay organized to prevent huge cleaning jobs in the future, and preventative tips to keep your house cleaner, longer. I have been watching her YouTube videos for YEARS and her tips and tricks are fantastic. I am so glad to have all of them in this book. I can flip through it easily to find what I need, the chapters are separated by rooms so you don't have to read the whole thing right away to find what you are looking for, and each section has a detailed process on how to clean each area (room or space) efficiently and quickly without wasting time or effort.     • Just what I needed
This book is straightforward with things I needed to know about cleaning a house. Deep cleaning is something I've never been good at, and I was looking for help to get into simple, but efficient routines. I look forward to the guidance provided in the book.

    • Teaches You HOW to Clean!
I always had a housekeeper clean my house every two weeks while I was working. Well, now in these days of Covid I was not comfortable having someone in the house for 4-5 hours and she was not comfortable wearing a mask so we parted ways. Doing my own cleaning I realized I had no idea how to get into a routine like she had. This book, written by Melissa Maker, who has her own cleaning business, explains the best way to tackle cleaning. I am teaching myself how to do a deep clean and even how to make some healthier cleaning solutions that are very effective and not caustic. She even goes into laundry suggestions and has YouTube videos showing her methods which are great for motivation. I have purchased the Maker microfiber dusting cloths she sells online. I can't say I love cleaning and I am no way as efficient as my housekeeper, but there is a certain amount of satisfaction one gets from having a clean house.     • Eager to read Melissa Maker's book
Melissa Maker can't be beat for giving inspiration and practical methods for keeping a home clean, orderly and stress free! I am looking forward to reading her book, "Clean My Space" cover to cover. I have been following her on YouTube and am thrilled to have her great tips in book form. My mom sure made house keeping look easier than it seems to be for me. Now, I am learning even better ways from this next generation to get it done in less time with less effort. I can see that this book is full of great tips to create time and energy saving cleaning routines for those of us who don't have a natural talent for it. I tend to clean the same areas frequently and neglect other areas altogether, running out of time, energy and interest. I give a 4 star for the book, mainly, because the font a bit difficult to read for me. The print is a pretty lavender tint, which is a strain to focus on. A little larger and/or darker text would make the book an even handier, more user friendly resource. ... show more

Really really enjoyed this book. The author knows what to do and how to explain how to do it -- very simply and very clearly written. Very much enjoyed this book and glad I purchased it. This book is brilliantly organized! It can be read cover-to-cover, and as a quick reference tool. The Clean My Space YouTube channel seriously changed my life. Now I give the book and Maker's microfiber cloths out as gifts, and tell everyone who comes to me with cleaning questions - which happens a lot, now that my social circle sees me as an expert! - to watch the channel and check out the rest of the Clean My Space media. I used to HATE cleaning because I never felt like my work would make a dent in the mess. I never knew that the correct products and techniques could make such a difference! I used to spend 3-4 hours a week cleaning, and spend all of that just trying to tidy up and manage dishes/ laundry. Now I spend the same amount of time cleaning, but doing so more efficiently - and I actually get everything clean! I didn't anticipate that I would decrease my stress as much as I have. Since I can find my things quickly ("everything should have a home"), I save time on a daily basis. If I have a busy week and can't clean, it's no big deal. When I can get the time in, though, I find myself actually enjoying it, since I can now feel proud of the effort I've put into cleaning my space.     • This book can help change your life!
I found Melissa Maker on You Tube, and pre-ordered her new book. She is so organized and practical in her approach to cleaning. After you see and read how easy it can be, it won't be the overwhelming task that you put off. She helps you understand how to breakdown certain tasks and actually accomplish more in less time! It doesn't have to be "all or nothing" ~ which only made me find a million reasons to procrastinate! Her use of micro fiber cloths and more natural cleaning products make a big difference on windows, glass, and most every surface! She sells her own brand of these cloths, and I love them! But micro fiber cloths from places like Target, etc. work too. I find her own brand work very well for my needs. I highly recommend this book! You will find cleaning doesn't have to be a chore, and if you take her advice and apply it to your home and your life you will have more free time! ... show more
